A minute of silence for Doomguard

Poor demon, again to the Nether from where you came, we’ll probably never see you again.

they ruined that too?
they really hate players dont they?

Even worse. In the developer’s note, they gaslight us by saying:

While sacrificing your friends can be entertaining, we’d prefer it to not be the optimal means to play.

Excuse me? I’m a WARLOCK. We sacrifice people’s souls for mere pleasure and power. That is literally the class lore.

They said that “We don’t want warlocks to feel like they need this to perform optimally.” Like who the F cares? Each hour we would have a slightly higher damage due to a cheese cooldown, I personally don’t care whatsoever If I didn’t do 3-4% more damage in a try because of It. It’s kinda boring. I like having Ritual of Doom but it’s so sad, it’s a 1 hour toy in a spellbook.

“We’d rather you didn’t play Doomguard”.

They should have just deleted the spell - there is never any situation you would bother casting it now.

Never, EVER, forgiving Ion for that comment

What happened to doomguard?

Right! Give us locks the power to siphon from our team! Sacrifice a team member for a huge damage boost. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Their soul will serve me well.

His damage was reduced by 90%.

Paladins gains a damage boost when allies die and Warlocks don’t… maybe they’re the mean class afterall

It was broken in PvP anyway, subjugate demon only lasts 10 seconds in PvP making it completely useless.

Seriously? Then whats the point?

Why dont they just make him a permanent pet?

Gg. One of the best pets in the game and they destroy it.

Fun detected.

My question is how much has that skewed the logs, because I didn’t use it and my parses are bad.

Trying to copium with being on the bench and really regretting my choice of main now… :C

Some of you really will just get mad about anything.

Very strange hotfix.

Like i get the reasoning but like they could have approached it differently?

Mixed feelings about this. Blizzard constantly tries to appease everyone but in the process just makes everyone feel alienated.

Min/maxing has ruined this game, and blizzard is too wussy to address it properly. Laziest hotfix ever

YEAH! Give the healers more work to do!
Ngl I love the idea of warlocks being a menace to healers. XD
Need to deal more damage? Sacrifice a party member’s health to add to your own damage!
Need more health? Who needs a healthstone when the tank’s got PLENTY of life force left!

I miss Life Tap

People complaining that it sacrificed someone BEFORE the fight like it matters…

The point is that doomguard was finally seeing use after years of not even being on the action bars and now they destroyed it once again.

Look, blizz should not have nerfed it to death. Now it will never be used. Could it have been tuned a bit? Sure.

Heres a valid, middle ground solution: Add doomguard to the class tree. Have it as a class-wide 5 min cd. Have it do significant damage and tune it accordingly for pvp.

Is it really that hard for blizz to come up with such a simple solution?

Kinda miss the old days when we used the healers mana bar for mana via life tap. Of course back then drain life really did something and we could usually manage our own health.
