Yeah, not a big fan of it because when people enter, they think they can just steamroll it. Some can because they play the dungeon smarter than the obvious speed racing type of dungeon crawling they are used to.
With the correct group the dungeon is mad easy, but if you get a tank that thinks they are immortal and doesn’t need the group, then the thing falls apart in the first area.
Then you always have that one dude who didn’t unlock DF yet, which has happened more times than one. Gladly they can just hitch a ride with me but man, it happens.
There are too many casts that need to be interupted to pull the way tanks are currently pulling. You wanna pull like that? Play with 4 shaman.
I’ve been a tank for 25+ yrs through various games. Been tanking in wow for 18 of those. I’ve never been about speed but about the entire group. I get thanked alot for not bursting through the dungeon at mach “Speed Racer”.
Guess I’m old school as back when wow was new, there was no way to speed racer the run lol. You’d pull 3 mobs and die. I see those types of tanks now who just take off at break neck speeds leaving everyone behind. I can’t and won’t do it. Guess that’s just the type of tank I am. Only as good as my group.
Aye, so many times the tank asking “WHY AM I NOT GETTING HEALS” and when we state, we can’t interrupt all the stunlocks with the group you’re pulling…yeah, the ego of some tanks are just way out there. How are we going to cast if we get stunlocked and we have 3 interrupts in our group with 5 mobs that do the interrupting. My interrupt is on a 24 second CD ffs.
I immediately leave when big pulls happen.
I will gladly level some alts for 30 min.
All my globals are rotating between cap totem, windshear, and thunderstorm. With healing in between. I cant do that every single pull.
make it so mixing 3 groups of trash makes them get a 50% damage reduction boss. or insta kills the tank. either works.

They also forget that some of us have different loadouts for different bosses.
Tbh dungeons are extremely easy right now lol. I do think people should be respectful of how everyone wants to clear, but if the tank/heals can set the tone, the dps should be able to follow up
It’s the first week. Many tanks are limit testing to see what packs hit hard and what casts are important, etc.
It’s hard to really learn the mechanics by pulling 1 pack at a time because 90+% of single packs do not pose a threat and barely move the health bar of a tank who’s pushing their buttons.
The worst part is half of these tanks dont even know what they can handle, so they overpull and wipe the group to tons of overlapping mechanics.
As a healer Ive just started dropping group if they go to pull more than they can handle and it turns into a no win situation, or if there are more mechanics happening than the group can cover.
If it’s more trouble than it should be - because some tank wants to pad meters and ignore the group - Im out. That’s not “group” content, or fun to heal.
Mythic is much smoother than any LFG Ive done.
In that case if I was the dps/healer I stop go in slower pace let the tank die and let him kept dying till he slows down.
I am going to start tanking again and pull one pack at a time in normal dungeons.

I’m a bad player and dont know how half my abilities work or how to do enough damage to finish a dungeon in under 40 minutes.
if you want some real speedruns me and buddies can finish dungeons in 5-6 minutes. lfgs i go tank and force them to be done in 10-15 minutes. i refuse to slowly trot through easy content because people have one hand on their mouse and another hand on their …

I don’t get this debate that’s going on.
If a tank is pulling too fast, vote to kick.
If the group says “no” then you leave. Majority has spoken.
If the group says “yes”, majority says they want a new tank.
If the tank has kick protection, leave the group.
