As a leader within that company I would have expected him to deal with the people who were abusing their power and their staff. As a leader it was his responsibility to know what was going on within that company and if you actually believe that he was not aware, I have a bridge to sell you. All of the leadership team knew what was going on and would have been the ones to direct the lower management to deal with and sweep the problem under the rug. And that is the reason the state of CA brought the lawsuit.

Because itās going to be a lot of work for him to hold accountable and make amends for the damage that Blizzard and Danuser have done in the Shadowlands.

I, for one, appreciate a non-PvP community oriented PvE-focused expansion and hope like heck that the return of staff alumni does not herald a return to a PvP-crapsplosion of content wherein the Alliance leaders once again go completely racist and the Horde leaders go completely insane.
To Chris: Welcome back. Can Warcraft evolve, or are we going to rehash the hash of the rehash hash hash derp derp derp expansion derp?
Please, Dragonflight (despite some dark themes) gives me hope.
Please donāt lead us back to the tired contrived crap of the last two expansions.

CC-posting about this. Itās somewhat true but at the same time we need also acknowledge the mistakes Metzen did with the game, which he owned:
- Making Thrall too important
- Giving Alexzstrasa/Sylvanas a bikini suit, which was in hindsight just a dumb idea of a man thinking with his sex.
But everything else he worked on turned out somewhat entertaining, no? Better than BfA and SL together, which ruined so much for everyone. The faction war should have ended with Legion, which was the ultimate coming together-story with so many returning faces and the danger felt absolutely real. BfA was just a dumb idea to begin with, SL amplified it by spitting Arthas into his face. And Sylvanas was saved and put onto a bus for a return in the future.
The writing team truly needs his council to undo the damage done to the game. For professional people, who earn money by writing fiction (!) they couldnāt came up with a voice-less cameo of Arthas how his last remnants reach out to Jaina or something? Anything better than the 25 amina ending we got with a dominating Sylvanas wishing him to be āgoneā. Letās hope the gameā story continues from Legion onwards

Which is completely standard for the process. The likelihood of the acquisition remains unchanged.
Personal opinion here, but I do think Microsoft should have an easy time winning this one. The premise for the challenge is that Sony doesnāt want Microsoft to get exclusive products, which is completely hypocritical given how many more exclusives Sony has over Microsoft. If anything, this is just a step toward making things more even and therefore more competitive, which is healthy for the market.
