What happened to the times when leveling was an actual accomplishment? No one should be leveling 10 levels on a new expansion in 1 hour. World firsts and Realm firsts should be an extreme challenge that everyone should have a chance at getting if you’re into that.
Also, those achievements shouldn’t have even been active for early access users.

vast majority of us hate leveling by now, its fine the first time, but this been what ? we would be level 140 if it wasnt by the Shadowlands level squish…

If you’re someone who is super in to exploring the opening world, nothing is stopping from continuing to quest at 80.

They probably scoped out a hyper-spawn in beta then had a mob-tagging team ready at EA launch to power them up to 80 as fast as possible.

I actually explore and use the quests on alts to help them level. I get to experience the world and the story / side stories as I level them up too. It’s fun.

to be fair, i was playing yesterday some Warhammer 40k, as im pumped with like 10 WH40k Games waiting for Space Marines 2…
And i said, oh right, i have early access…
What a chore to level … I just want my evoker hero talents and get to pvp.
If this expansion could have released in maybe 2 months, it would have been fine by me…
I have an advice to give those that cant play anything but wow… Play other games, get Steam/GOG, its very easy nowadays with half good connection speeds …
It was. And people congratulated each other and took the race to first max level for even each class very seriously.
Leveling was once just as important and celebrated in wow culture as clearing a raid.
Maybe you weren’t there for it, maybe you were and are being obtuse

The last time leveling was an accomplishment was back in vanilla when there literally weren’t enough quests to get to 60. You had to grind for what, 57-60 or something? Was a long time ago. I remember farming in Sorrow Hill for a loong time.

People still do that tho.
It’s still not an “accomplishment”. The game never abruptly ended and rolled credits after hitting level cap. It’s a formality to get players familiar with the game and chosen class as they enter endgame.
old game design, impractical by today’s standards. Nobody wants to lose so much time leveling, at least not on something theyve been playing for 20 years…
I would go for long exploration and leveling of something NEW… not WoW …
Also, TWW overall story and theme sucks… if i had to endure long leveling through that, i’d hate it
