Trying to provide some feedback here, fire currently has big issues doing competitive single target damage meanwhile its aoe is very decent. Some talent options in current fire are just so incredibly bad, either due to tuning or to just bad design in my opinion. I think the worst offenders are as follows:

Firestarter: Bad Design with current fire mage
This talent used to be okay-ish a long time ago. With the current fire mage this is just a dead talent no one will ever pick up. Current fire mage starts the fight with a big burst that encompasses an opening burst of combustion, followed by shifting power and another combustion after. During this period, firestarter does nothing, and when this period is done the boss is already well below 90% health. -
Sparking Cinders: Bad design and tuning
This talent as it stands right now barely procs and the damage increase is just 15%. In a 3 minute fight you cast pyroblast at least 70 times and this procs around 4 times, so this is likely the worst throughput talent in the game. Furthermore this is just badly designed. I would suggest making living bomb explosions making the target take more damage from ignite or some other reliable way of activating lit fuse, maybe once every few fireblast/phoenix flames. -
Convection: Bad Tuning
I somewhat like the idea of the talent, but right now this is severely undertuned. Living bomb, whenever you pick the multiple talents required to run it, is doing around 1% of your damage on single target. This talent only increases living bomb single target damage and at most this would an increase an additional 1%. This might be okay if it was locking an incredible talent below it but that is not the case. 1% increase single target talent will never be picked up. -
Controlled Destruction: Bad Design
Another horrible design. Who asked for this spec to have ignite damage ramp through the fight? Please, this talent is probably the one I have the biggest gripe with since it is required on all pve content since its such a big dps increase in bosses but feels so bad on any other situation. I would suggest swapping this to a critical stat scaling talent, to keep it in line with the talent Critical Mass above it. Fire mages right now hate critical as a secondary stat, maybe a good enough talent would help it out. -
Master of Flame: Bad Tuning
I like the idea of increasing ignite damage outside of the combustion but this is another undertuned talent. The ignite spread also doesnt do much since current fire has more than enough fire charges to spread ignite in a pack, which is good. -
Molten Fury: Bad Design
This is one of the most unimaginative talents I have ever seen. Might as well write increases damage by 2.5%. No blizzard please you can do better. What is “molten fury” about an execute damage talent, this should be titled We ran out of ideas.
