Dungeon sets. With bonuses that only work in dungeons. That way these items give the limits of the world no benefit from spending multiple hours a day farming mythic pluses for the world first race and it gives a bonus for those who actually enjoy doing mythic pluses for what they are such as myself (well, once they fix the current horrendously abysmal tuning anyway) It’s literally a no lose situation.
I would prefer not to have to have 5-6 different sets of gear in my bag at all times tbh. Just give dungeons decent rewards, easy
Why not just have them scale in ilvl up to mythic with a +20 or +22 keystone?
It won’t harm anyone or unbalance anything. You’ll still have to spend the same amount of time per week doing keys to come close to raid rewards but the option to put in that time will exist. This is especially true if they keep the current poor drop rate.
the reason that mythic plus gear got nerfed is because people “felt” that it was mandatory to farm them for raiding purposes. At least according to blizzard. I’m all for making the gear better, but then we’re back at square 1.
It’s not a terrible idea, but at the moment with the way blizzard has horribly botched the scaling of dungeons it means that you would basically need mythic gear to get mythic gear. Also even if Blizzard fixes said horrible scaling then people will go back to farming them for raid and then you get the same issue where Blizzard feels that people feel its mandatory to do them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying my idea is perfect by any means but this issue is not so easily fixed in their eyes by simply upping the rewards.
While I don’t care for this idea regarding M+ I do think it would be a good idea of Tongast. Have torgast bosses drop gear with certain affixes only usuable in Torgast. That way there is a single player progression system in wow for those people who prefer single player.
Whats wrong with having something to do on not-raid nights?
Because there’s no lockout on them compared to the Mythic raid weekly one.
What if we could earn additional equipment slots on our character that lets us store extra gear on our person rather than in our bags? Then it isn’t clunky to carry pvp gear, dungeon gear, open world gear, and raid gear. Would make changing equipment and creating equipment sets with the ui much more streamlined too.
The hilarious part of this reason is the only people who were good enough to be farming gear for raid from really high M+ were the people who were good enough that the gear would be useless to them when they went into Mythic.
The people complaining about “needing” to farm +15s 5 months after the raid opened and they were fully corrupted are just hilarious
No thanks, I’d rather a set that autochanges to my chosen stats in each spec.
The ideas dont have to be mutually exclusive lol. It would just prevent us from wasting like 48 slots of bag space if we want to do all forms of content.
Its bad enough I have to wait on soul ash for my offspec legendary and different trinkets and such.
I’d hate to manage even more stuff.
Yeah if you think about it, you would be managing less lol. Because it would simplify your actual inventory so much. There are 16 items you equip for player power, 2 more if you care about having multiple shirts and tabards. It’s a lot of inventory space wasted, and a lot of icons cluttering your bags that could be hidden away in the already existing wardrobe/equipment select UI. Just make them real slots instead of UI slots.
Opposed to the most successful MMORPG ever continuing to pander to solo players. What’s next? we introduce more turn-based content in wow for those who like turn-based content? What about a full racing gear progression path for those who like racing?
This game already caters to people who like to play solo. There is LFD, LFR, world quests, transmog, BG’s and pet battles. I don’t see an issue with having a more difficult progressions system like torgast for those people who have already embraced the single player experience that wow already provides.
Again the problem is that the solo player according to Ion’s own comments would never be geared enough for Torg in it’s older state. If Torg 8 is a M+15 how is a solo player supposed to get that gear? Wait a year and half into the expansion? I don’t mind if they have a longer grind but currently as stated before once you get into 190 as a solo player your game ends.
Yeah, and the downfall started with xrealm LFD incentivising selfish, asocial behaviour, destroying server communities and anything like community reputation. Enough pandering to single player gamers.

This would be solved by gearing progression through torgast.
That would be the answer. But I’m almost positive people would flip because solo players could grind for gear comparable to M+
