And no, its not about skills or gear.
What I would like is an ability or item similar to the Ironspine Protocol that allows hunters to ride their Hati pet. It could be useable across a wide range of pets - there may be one or two whereit would be too difficult visually (say, the ones that look like porcupines, that might look a bit uncomforable…) but it would be a fun item.
It was a clever creation for Hati, why not make the ability more generally available for hunters?

The idea seems great. Then when I saw a pic of gnome riding a giraffe, I was turned off. I think I prefer Blizz to have this option off limits to Hunters. ROFL.

People would QQ about hunters having something special. I think it’s a cool idea although maybe with some limitations on what is ridable
I would love this as long as it took the form of a proper ability. Like: Mount Pet, you mout your current summoned pet if able. The Ironspine Protocol item is a pita to use.
Would be nice if Hunters could ride their pets and shoot, I’d love that idea to be implemented. Kinda’ like that chick in DOTA who rides a Tiger and shoots arrows. That NELF, what’s her name.
Question: I went and tamed all the rares that drop mounts to be an annoying jerk Hunter.
If I use these pets as a mount, would that be cheating?

Because who needs another load of bull, we already have plenty of those in Stormwind…
PS: The idea of Tauren Monks is fun; I can imagine them doing the spinning move and falling over due to the massive overcorrection of their centre of balance…

It should be just for gnomes, goblins and vulperas. Kul’Tiran, tauren, and pandas would be crushing their pets and the rest of the races the pets will barley carry them.

Hati worked because they were a wolf and they were big enough for most models to work.
Some pets are just way too small to be rideable, like snakes and wasps.
Then there are the weird families like birds and the frogs where some are fine but others are a little too small, and coding each and every tameable model to be rideable would take a lot of time, effort, and most importantly money for it to be worth it for Blizz to do it
