if wow were to ever get a reboot I’d make the argument for paladins being a hero class.
Like look at the creation of human paladins lore and tell me that doesn’t scream “hero class” to you.
as for possible future classes that could be hero classes, I’m drawing a blank on any that wouldn’t be race specific. There’s wardens for example but they’d only be night elves (and it kinda seems like after legion they’ll never be lore relevant again outside of cameos).
Enough edgy on WoW already. As much as I love dark classes, too much edgyness and rule of cool makes this game look like is targeted at those teens that use names such as lord of darkness, the dark, etc. in games.
Sadly edginess is the foundation of WOW, just look at how many old wow montages there are from way back when with My Chemical Romance in the background.
Bard would be my go to choice, but I was thinking of what HERO class we haven’t seen really in WoW.
I would love to see Bard. Making it a healer, melee dps, and a ranged dps. But the ranged dps I’d have them used ranged weapons so hunters would actually have someone to compete with in regards to drops.
How bout a lute? Besides stop lying, you’ll be clamoring for those sick buffs that make your parse 15% higher. It will be like the blessing of might wars all over again.
I would love another ranged melee class (if that makes sense?) similar to outlaw rogue. Maybe a 5-10 yard ability range, making it require skill to stay closer than 10 but further than 5. That or just a one-handed agility/int weapon and an offhand.
A ranged class would just be you being killed by their sick guitar shreds.
