We’ve all seen a ba-jillion posts about the win-loss rate between Alliance and Horde. All rants, but nothing changes for you.
This is one such that solves your problem.
No, Alliance isn’t any worse or better than the average Horde player.
No, the Horde doesn’t always have better gear.
So what is the ‘secret’ sauce?
Premades.
Even Shifty gets gnarly about the topic.
The reason you are losing on Alliance side more often is due to premades; mostly guidies and always in effect in the afternoons to say…bedtime.
That is why Alliance wins a lot more often in the early morning hours (non-Oceanic time).
Funny things; those patterns that you notice after 9 years of the game…
There are a lot less of them after 0100 EST; where, most of our young Horde heros are in bed. Got school the next day yanno…
So, how to stop it?
You can’t. Run your own premades instead to counter theirs. Use the LFR if you have to. It won’t be instant, but if you can curb your own impatience, you will have a much better result of time invested in any random BG.
p.s. Hordies say they don’t run premades, but they do. They run 'em like freight trains in the afternoon hours.
I have played both alliance and horde since 2006. I can assure you this goes both ways. It does not matter. It is all luck of the draw
Just because there is a pre made doesnt mean it is a good pre made. I am sure the opposite faction gets upset when they saw me and 4 friends all 2k+ xp go into a BG and roflstomp the other team.
I have also been the only healer on my team and kept everyone up and we won 3-0 against a premade because they were probably just friends that wanted to do BGs together.
There is nothing with premades. The issue is the BG knowledge of people on the team and the knowledge of their class. If everyone in the game watched a video on how each BG worked and the actual strats/roles of each class in the BG, then I think it would be a non issue. Also the fact that you randomly get paired with 1 healer or 3+ healers doesnt help. BGs are just fun, thats it. if people want to win, try RBGs where everything is more even and you can pick and choose what comp you want.
premades MIGHT be some of the issue,
but from what ive seen its communication.
horde communicates in bgs more often and more effectively than alliance
in AV there are several other issues in addition to that that have compounded/snowballed to there abysmal win rate. But hey i think bliz put in flying pigs just to let us know that alliance is going to start dominating AV!
Right now (late afternoon EST), as of this very minute of typing this, some no-name guild called ‘Aftermath’ from Illidan is running guild premades. In randoms.
Do yourselves a favor, Alliance and roll your own premades.
Average RBG is horde 380+ against alliance 330 or lower.
Not to mention most of the time alliance start the match missing a player or two, by the time those players join the rest of the team was already ganked and started leaving.
I don’t know, but it is obvious they are just doing whatever they can to rake in more money. Maybe they should think more about making their money by keeping subs than by how much quick cash they can make. I would gladly spend a month or two earning rep for a special mount, but they can take a hike if they think they are getting extra money out of me for flying pigs.
