Shoutout to Lin, Yu'lei, Kunbo, and Zhuona for making me actually laugh out loud on more than one occasion, and also had a really fun time translating for people! CrossRP is convenient and all, but old-fashioned frantic-typing-translation will always warm my heart. :-D

I only got to hear bits & pieces of Yu'lei's interaction - hopefully I can be of help in that storyline in the future. Zhuo may fall under some people's IC radar but she really has one of the most interesting & unusual characters I've interacted with in a long time.
And those characters are just a few of the flowers in the bouquet.

CrossRP is convenient and all, but old-fashioned frantic-typing-translation will always warm my heart. :-DOne of the core concepts in developing the Teahouse as a cross-faction pop-up hub is to have exactly that kind of interaction. Quilen & Cloud is older than CrossRP, and on top of that not everyone likes to use it. Part of the fun for me is translating between people from such widely varying cultures & backgrounds. Add to that making it sound like something that would make sense to a Pandaren who isn't well-versed in other cultures' way of looking at the world. Wish we had a transcript - some of the renditions ended up being fairly humorous.
and yes, Zhuo you really need to draw what you think a horse looks like. Especially if it looks like about the level of drafting skill you'd have IC. :D
The crowd's gotten big enough now that I'd be very interested in talking to someone IC about helping serve tea during the event. Another goal for the teahouse is as to become a regular background setting for personal & group storylines - might involve Kunbo, but it's also fun to watch the circus so to speak.

- Kunbo has connections to a small shipping/communication network managed by Cousin Yak Ring (a Grummle who travels extensively throughout the world).
- Sincere apologies to the person who asked about jihui just before the rush.
- The potluck theme was suggested by others. More ideas for theme nights would be gratefully welcomed.
- An archaeological expedition into Northern Kun Lai by Stormwind University is in the early planning stages.
- Those of you with some covert elements in your storylines may not know Kunbo has some connections into the part of Pandaren society that sort of fades into the grey economy & out-of-legal-bounds community.
- A couple of us talked about adding food to the portable tea stand at other events.
- The Bronze Talons are always interested in acquiring scrolls or unusual artifacts with information about ancient Pandaria (Pandaren Empire or earlier).
- If you've got a personal, group or guild event in the works that needs a catered location the teahouse is available (as long I don't have IC or RL scheduling conflicts)
- The first big deal is making arrangements to get Zhuo her horses & whatever equipment the researchers from Stormwind University may want to bring to the farm. (I don't intend to directly RP the actual delivery - one of those "assume it happened" IC things).
- I promise to get a jihui night arranged sometime in the next couple of months. Probably separate from the teahouse so I can actually sit down and enjoy some sustained IC interaction. :D Possibly in November as a follow-up to the SU practicum i'll be leading.
- They are going to need local guides / guards. OOC we talked about doing it as a joint event with the Fists of New Dawn Community. Idea being to take the archaeologist into a Mogu lorevault (the IC instance run talked about in community chat). Have to work out the date & time with the SU first. Then interested Pandaren can expect an invite to a meet-up with one of the Bronze Talons (an alt of mine) about hiring. IC discussion/interviews will probably be before or after the teahouse on whatever evening falls closest in advance of the expedition.
- So if you need anything held for pickup, delivered through unofficial channels, want to reserve the teahouse at another time for an IC meeting, etc. we're available. Just don't get us shut down by the Shado-Pan :D
- Next one coming up is the Ironforge Autumn Craft Fest on October 22. Don't worry Horde partners - we go to events on that side as well. We'll keep in touch.
- If you come across anything in your IC journeys - (maybe from the Tortollans?) or possibly as an IC followup to a MoP mog run - bring it along to the teahouse. OOC: I need some oddball titles for a list of ancient texts. Anything you can think up no matter how goofy or weird would be very helpful.

I had a lot of fun this past sunday, thank you for hosting it once again, and I'm glad I could make some people laugh with my antics. It's fun to play against Lin. I need to find them on Alliance side to further their quest.
Have a long term goal to build up the behind the scenes management by doing one more thing each time. Two at most. This month we started theme nights & got crossrp functioning for those who want it. Teahouse opens at the usual time (8-is server). This sunday at about 10:30 we'll be temporary closing the doors and carrying the fun to Turtle Beach.
The 7th falls on the first weekend of the Darkmoon Faire. That's where you get the inky black potions. The bonfires, fireworks & especially the floating lanterns at the Wanderer's Festival are much more impressive under the dark starry night lighting.
