I’m tired of people saying why there isn’t more tanks. It isn’t because of dracthyr.
Listen, dracthyr are meant to be extremely lanky overly thin (to the point of it being offensive and more body shaming if I’m honest) and so they intended them to be 1 shot squishy “midrange” casters with half the range and a quarter of the durability of warlock or mage.
But that’s their prerogative.
But the REAL reason we have no tanks?
Because you all treat them HORRIFICALLY BADLY. There is your answer.
I have a “friend” who literally boasted on discord about his first time kicking a tank and it made me feel sick to my stomach. No I’m being quite serious, it really did. Cause he kept going on and on about how this tank didn’t manage to survive pulls…
How he went and PULLED MORE because the tank was pulling too slow…
And how the tank wasn’t confident on where or how to walk through the dungeon.
And he boasted about his first time kicking a tank.
I literally was revolted because, no offense, he’s not even that good at this game. Sorry but you’re not, you’re a DPS being hard-carried through content. (I’m saying this without sayin his name and no he do not read the forums!).
And so him pulling extra mobs on these tanks in LEVELING dungeons was nothing short of sickening.
This is why you actually have no tanks, because of absolute jerkwads like this.

Do you have…any actual evidence as to what happened? The only thing you mention of any relevance to your point is the fact that someone went on Discord bragging about kicking a tank, which I will admit is an odd flex.
What level was this experience? What dungeon? What was the tanks attitude? There’s a lot of factors going into kicking someone. Myself, most of my experiences in dungeons are that most are pretty understanding of someone being new and show a healthy amount of patience. Tanks are often only kicked if they DC for an extended time.
There’s a healthy chance this was just an off experience but, of course, there’s no real information here to judge.

I mean… it didn’t work with Death Knights. Or Monks. Or Demon Hunters. Why would Evoker tanks be any different? It’s the role that people aren’t interested in, not the classes that have the role available.
