Achievements like it (A World Awoken) could be part of the solution that help players catch up on old expansions’ mounts. I think having A Farewell to Arms achievement tied to BFA is a great idea for players to catch up on BFA expansion. I hope what’s next during Midnight release will be something similar but for Legion this time and so on all the way back to classic.
This is a great start and an awesome approach if combined with Remix Expansions. However, it doesn’t address the dormant mounts that CANNOT be obtained in the game no matter what. Some that I can think of include, AOTC, PVP, most Glory of The Raider and pre-expansions release mount like the ones from legion (there were 2 mounts if you did the prerelease questline).
I suppose you can add a side achievement for those type of mounts alongside the meta-achievement. I don’t know if that will be too much for players to handle though.
Over all great job team.

In the future you should state the problem before you explain the solution. However, if you think ‘A Farewell to Arms’ helps anyone catch up on old content try doing the Nazjatar segment (meta) ‘Undersea Userper’.
This are like the Appalachian Trails of a video game. It’s a different approach than the ‘sample platter’ or exciting romp that was REMIX. For example, you know what was missing in REMIX?
- Multiple months of farming (as in the Farm)
- The multi-month “train the next-gen” of farmers
- REMIX didn’t require you to get “the Stormbreaker” or any completionism of the Timeless Isle of Isle of Giants.
Not to take away from what REMIX was or that completionism-Metas are, but they aren’t introductions to expansions.
I’m not sure if you indulge when you read my thread. I stated that “A Farewell to Arms” is a great way to catchup on mounts from old expansion like Remix that is it. If that is not clear I don’t know what is.
