[A] <Digital Violence> TBC Reroll Initiative on Grobbulus

With the recent official announcements of the TBC release date (June 1st) and the pre-patch release date (May 18th) it is now time to begin organizing our TBC reroll initiative. As many of you are probably thinking, the two-week prepatch is not as much time as we would have liked. We agree, but we are going to work with what we have and try to start as quickly as possible. We realize there are likely a MOUNTAIN of people interested in coming back to the game for TBC but either lack the characters, lack the specific class, or lack the community necessary to enjoy the experience. Then look no further from Digital Violence, an Alliance EST, PvE-PvP guild on US-Grobbulus.

We’re recruiting players that:

  • Never played Classic WoW at all; new to the re-released content.
  • Played Classic WoW but never hit level 60 and want a new start for TBC
  • Played Classic WoW and have a raid-geared 60 but want a new main for TBC
  • People wanting to use their level 58 boost (one time!) to join a new community for TBC
  • Played Classic WoW but no longer have a guild, communities or friends to play with and are looking to transfer their character to a new home (transfers are currently frozen, however!)

Any of these scenarios are fine. The release of TBC is, in a way, a broad reset and we welcome any of the above players to join our new community and head through the Dark Portal. Many people will be transferring, many will likely be buying the one-time boost, but many more will likely be leveling from scratch (the prepatch axes about half of the required 1-60 experience). Whichever you would prefer we welcome you. For those of you wanting to level a Draenei, you will have a robust group of guildmates to level with.

Our current officer core is comprised of long-time WoW veterans with a combined 40+ years of playing and guild-leadership experience. We have raided and PvP’d throughout Classic WoW, have private server raiding and PvP experience and retail AoTC experience. We are a mature, educated and drama-free collective of older gamers that want our play experience to be what any game should be; fun and relaxing. We will ensure a welcoming, tolerant, and professional guild atmosphere for everyone. It is our top priority.

So what kind of guild is Digital Violence?

We aspire to be a community of mature and experienced gamers that can progress through both the PvE and PvP of the expansion at a competitive level but without extensive time commitments. Currently, most of us are well into our 30s, with families and careers, and we cannot have 12 hours of scheduled raiding a week. We are aiming for TWO nights-per-week of raiding totaling no more than 8 hours. We are not aiming for world first or realm first achievements, we are not super sweaty, but there is an expectation of preparation and performance so that everyone’s time is respected. Our current roster also has quite a few PvP-minded folks with private server experience and retail accomplishments that are shooting for high ratings. Digital Violence will be a home for both. Raid loot system will be a simple Master-Looted /roll using BiS lists to determine priority. No council, no DKP, no drama. The majority of our current members are EST time zone so guild activity is shaping up to be predominately 6:00pm – 2:00am EST and raid times / pre-made BGs will assuredly fall in that range. Specific days will be determined by a future vote. We also plan to organize professions at least partially such that all crafting can be performed by the guild and for the guild. If you are interested in being one of our designated crafters, let us know.

We anticipate a large amount of interest in the project, particularly due to the timing, but we are not looking to create a giant 1000-person guild here. We would like to end up with less than 100 members if possible, to keep things simpler and to avoid having to organize, lead and schedule 3+ raid groups. When you join the discord server you will be prompted to submit a short application for membership. It should take you less than 5 minutes to complete. Please keep in mind that as the project materializes we will be forced to be more selective, so take the application at least semi-seriously.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Digital Violence please reach out to us on the following Discord: [nN3pcJ4ZcY] where we have more information available. Current recruitment is essentially wide open. We still need a little bit of everything to accomplish our goals. As would be expected with TBC, Warlocks, Hunters, Mages and Shaman are of particular interest and we are eager to fill those positions quickly. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below or ask in our Discord server.

We hope to be hearing from you!
