A courteous word about LGBT representation

You interpreted the ending differently than others, and that is fine. But, the relationship between Korra and Asami is seen as romantic by many fans of the show. That is also okay. The show does depict romantic signs between them if you look close enough, or in other words, there is textual evidence of their romantic relationship.

The T is def being dropped intentionally, that’s a red flag. Idk I’ve seen LGBTQ, and LGBTQ+ used a lot. I don’t really see just LGBT.

Some include the 2S, too.

You also have to remember that, for anyone 35-40+ years old, they have seen this evolve for quite some time. Some people forget that it started off as LGB decades ago and has expanded since. Old habits die hard.

Wasn’t it also continued in official print media, once the airing had concluded?

Dude you got some epic blinders on if you didn’t catch the very obvious signs. Good thing she is a master water bender because there was some definite needing of water control below the belt when she got non love letters from her and when she got commented on her hair and stuff.

And even the writers admitted later that she was but that they had to wait until the last minute to put it in because the network execs would’ve canned it quick. Pretty sure the comics are pretty explicit about it too. They totally were a thing.

Plus the whole avatar concept being a reincarnation means it isn’t like it’s important for the current/prior avatar to have spawns of their own.

This definitely need its own thread.

How is it mean? I don’t even know what the minus would even mean itself.

No that was interpreted by typical shippers who can’t leave well enough alone. This isn’t the first time and it wont be the last.

Only one writer said it was a possibility, and like all one writers of a show, whatever comes out of their mouth is “what if.”

Yes I believe so. I haven’t read any of the comics, though.

No same tho, but like in writing when referring to “the community” I usually see LGBTQ, or LGBTQ+. But like in person with friends – yeah it’s just ‘gay’ or ‘trans’. sometimes the Q-word (which idk if I can say on here??).

Exclusive or subtracting from, or negative.

Considering how much of an echo chamber abcd people tend to be, I think it’s a worthy interpretation.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

Or in this case, if they hold hands adoringly and stare into each other eyes lovingly while agreeing to go and be with each other in the lands beyond…

Nobody gives a hoot about LGBTQ. The fact all you crying care bears complained enough and forced your ideologies onto the rest of the gaming community. That Blizzard has catered to your crying needs and is pushing political agendas in a MMORPG…FANTASY role playing game. Political agendas and political correctness does NOT belong in game design.

Why do you people feel the need to push your political feelings into a video game ffs. Go use another platform to push your ideologies. People come game to enjoy the content and escape from political correctness and woke bull crap of the real world.

I use LGBT despite falling squarely under Q myself.

Nobody is going to take you seriously or assume you’re acting in good faith if you cannot bother to address the community properly.

We can all see your intent when you call us the ‘abcd people’.

Maybe it’s regional :person_shrugging:

Personally I like the Q a lot, and like to use it as an umbrella term too.
