I’ll preface this by saying I hate the current proposed change and hope they scrap it.
That said, if they insist on going ahead with it, they should give us the option to replace the stupid generic eagle with a flying pet of our choosing. They already have a specific slot in the stable just for BM’s Animal Companion talent.
Let’s just add another slot like this specifically for marksman. Eagle by default until we put something in the slot.
It doesnt even have to be a flying mob considering its, presumably, just a spell animation.
Just have flying pets swoop down and ground pets charge in and do whatever it is. That way we can at least feel like our pets are still part of our character.
Absolutely not, they shouldn’t take our pets away PERIOD. I spent most of my wow life collecting pets as a MM hunter. I refused to use Lone Wolf anyway because a hunter without a pet is a Sniper. Not a hunter. If this change goes live I will honestly quit. Taking away a core part of the class identity and giving us a chicken is not a good idea.
