A Complete Circuit Throne of Thunder achievement fails early in the raid

Apparently, Blizzard is aware of this (support article linked below), but I’m adding some additional context in the case it helps identify the issue. I have the achievement tracked, with two items completed years ago. I entered the raid on the same character and observed that either upon entering the raid or after killing the first or second boss (I didn’t notice till after progressing slightly), the two sub achievement points are in red text, which means the achievement failed and is nullified for the whole run, as if you did it wrong and will have to wait till the next lockout. The issue is that the boss is nowhere in sight, and is the final boss in the raid, so somehow the achievement is failing far before you even reach the boss. I was doing this on heroic, haven’t tested normal. I will update if there are additional findings.

Edit 6 days later: Tested this again upon reset with the normal raid and made sure to look at the tracked achievement earlier this time to figure out when it is failing, and it was marked red immediately upon entering the raid. It is a requirement of Glory of the Thundering Raider, so the whole meta achievement can not currently be obtained because this achievement is being marked as failed as soon as you enter.

“A complete Circuit” is the last achievement I need for “Glory of the Thundering Raider” and it is bugged. There are 4 parts done over 4 lockouts. I am on the last part, week 4, for “Bouncing Bolt Conduit Disabled First”. We did it on Normal 10 today to complete this last part. We did the same process for Bouncing Bolt Conduit as we’ve done for the 3 previous: Static Shock, Diffusion Chain, and Overcharge Conduits.

We disabled the Bouncing Bolt Conduit First. In chat it said, “Bouncing Bolt in 4 sec… Bouncing Bolt… The Conduit is at Full Energy and Lei Shen disconnects!” We downed the adds, boss teleported to middle, the achievement tracker for “A Complete Circuit” turned from RED to WHITE, and we slowly DPS’d Lei Shen down.

We did not get our achievement for “A Complete Circuit” nor did we get our “Glory of the Thundering Raider”. Since it bugged on Normal 10, we tried running it on LFR by queuing up with Loremaster Han in Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

In LFR, we used the same procedure, but we waited longer to DPS Lei Shen down after he teleported. The achievement tracker for “A Complete Circuit” turned from RED to WHITE, we slowly downed Lei Shen, and no achievements popped.

We’ve done this successfully 3 previous times for the other 3 conduit lockouts. We didn’t make a personal mistake for this to fail. The achievement is simply bugged, and according to the WoWhead comments we aren’t the only ones having this issue. We both submitted GM tickets (US92929762 and US92929949). The first response I got 10 minutes later was to visit a year old article that wasn’t a solution: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/000291144

In my ticket I requested the GM’s to review the logs and grant us both the achievement, “A Complete Circuit” and “Glory of the Thundering Raider”. I got a trollish reply from GM Turworina, “Seems there have been some reports of this, but no bugs or issues have been found with it. Tricky part is that when I checked into it myself, I couldn’t find any issues.” In other words, it’s my fault and I’m the reason the achievement failed, there’s nothing wrong with it, you just suck and don’t know how to do the achievement even though you’ve done the 3 other conduits successfully the last 3 weeks and met all the criteria to complete it twice today. The GM ignored my request to review the data and be granted the achievement. I sent screenshots of the Combat Log, Achievement Tracker in White text, and boss laying on the floor, and the GM ignored all the evidence.

To sum things up, I was told to submit a bug report, and basically give it a shot next week. I’ve already spent 2+ hours on this today, and they want me to try it again next week, clear all the way to last boss, and let the achievement FAIL AGAIN. What a waste of time! Give me the achievement and FIX IT so others don’t have this issue.
