A Christian Themed Guild

Already happened. There’s now an atheist themed guild thread.

You will find a Large one on Proudmoore 100%. Hit up their server Forums

Its also a GREAT Alliance server!

Technically the Judeo Christian religion and its geographic locations of origin don’t exist on a completely different planet known as Azeroth. So technically it’s lore breaking.

Honest question. Why does it have to be Christian? If you’re looking to play with people with values and are genuinely good people, that isn’t unique to Christianity. Unless you’re going to be preaching in guild chat, a Christian guild isn’t really any different from a nice family friendly guild.

But regardless I think you’ll be fine as long as you are respectful and don’t make drama on the server.

i’m not sure what sort of specific information you’re looking for.

pretty much everything is covered by the regular code of conduct

keep the guild name appropriate, and don’t spam trade, you should be fine

Pretty much, only guilds I’ve seen people unanimously against are the more douchey guilds who come in packs in PUGs and kick a person because reasons [normally unwarranted] As long as you don’t go overzealous and preachy in chats akin to what Wiccan and Nobully stated, you’ll be fine. Encourage and reward good non disruptive behavior and you’ll get traffic tantamount to bees on a flower.

I just wanna know…why in Sargeras’s name was the OP flagged.

Why should they limit their talking about Jesus in a christian guild?

That’s complete bs. I’ve seen tons of guild names about “wicca” and other beliefs and they never get banned. Religion is a big part of peoples lives and how they live their lives. If it’s his guild, he can put whatever he wants in it. LGBTQRSTUV guilds advertise and stay strong without issues, so should everyone else be able to.
My guess is you’re the first person to hit report when you see a Christian themed guild.

Religious theme things are a delicate thing Blizzard doesnt want to dip their hand into. As long as you follow and abide by the Terms of Service that Blizzard themselves have put out you should be fine. Any situation where a GM would get involved would be a delicate and lengthy process possibly having mutiple gms and even a manager step in just in case. Cause after all its delicate.

Word of warning if you don’t want alternative sexualities in your guild then you better not kick them or deny entry for those reasons.

They’ll report you either way because that’s just what they’re gonna do, but when a GM reads the logs the goal really is to make it look like you didn’t do that.

Cause someone got triggered, oh no a different belief or opinion from me this can not stand. Tolerance of humanity in the 2010-2020 decade.

Does anyone else think it’s a little ironic that he’s asking this question, while posting on a Warlock?

Nah it’s a metaphor for everyone being in a cursed body.

Why was this post brought back? This was two weeks ago, come on.

i didn’t notice, probably someone wanting to start something out of boredom and needing attention.

It’s just some random guy’s opinon. Don’t get worked up about it. I think he was meaning that people who play wow and join a christian guild would still want to play the game and not just talk about religion.

Actually I generally don’t care.

But having been playing this game as long as I have, this is a pattern I’ve seen repeated across multiple servers. Guilds with any religious themes or names get railed against pretty hard, and Blizzard does have specific rules in place which forbid naming guilds after religious orders or figures.

You also start a cross realm community - you might have more luck as you’d be pulling from a larger group of people.
