Please remove (or alter) the Murloc Fin item (https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1468/murloc-fin) and the Murloc Fin Soup cooking recipe (https://classic.wowhead.com/item=3663/murloc-fin-soup) as they are obvious references to the horrific cruelty of the real-life shark fin industry.

Honestly OP is right.

If you aren’t thinking about abandoning your job, and applying to be a shark fisherman after completing this quest you’re either lying to yourself or you’re lying to me.

I remember when I first became involved in high risk sharking (as we call it in the industry) some 14 years ago after seeing this item… my life could’ve been totally different if we just altered the item… I could have had a life outside of murdering sharks horrifically, but I never had a chance after seeing this item in a video game.

Or y’know, just leave them alone because this is a GAME & not real life. Murlocs are not sharks and no one actually “fishes” them for their fins - the fins are a drop just as seashells, fish oil, scales & whatever the other Murloc crafting item is (it’s a LW item).

For the love of Pete, leave the politics & “OMG This MUST be a reference to a terrible real-life activity!!!one!” out of gaming.
