A Celestial Invitation cannot be completed because Algalon simply isn’t there. I am also entirely unable to abandon the quest and do it over again. Its been a long time of waiting for this to be resolved, but I’ve still got a quest I’ve completed and cannot turn in.

I have the same issue. I got the invitation on one toon, finished the quest on another, then was chatting with a guildmate for a few minutes. Algalon disappeared before I could turn it in. I’ve put in multiple support tickets and 3 bug reports. I turned off all my addons, rebooted, cleared my files out, switched toons. I even got a guildmate to get the quest and I stood there sync’d with them while they did it, completed it, and turned it in. At no time did algalon appear for me although the guildmate was visible the whole time. She could still see Algalon after her turn in so I switched toons thinking maybe another could still see it and when she invited the other toon to group Algalon disappeared for her as well.
I know this is a long shot, but is there any other place in the game where Algalon appears besides Ulduar? He’s a little cranky inside the raid and I’m pretty sure he won’t want to turn in my quest there…
Just another note here. I do not know what else to try here. Any suggestions would be great. Has anyone else had any luck getting this guy to show back up? I’ve done all the quests that seem like they cover the area outside Ulduar including the War Within one with Xalatath.
Is anyone from Blizzard even reading this?
