That’s not accurate. It’s a limitation on the API. Since RSS is tracking on a per spec basis, the number looks inflated. The fact a 0059 rated blood DK is on the ‘ladder’ for blood dks highlights the issue.
It’s not counting the ones below 1k cr, right?
2s and 3s are super hard to push atm, If your looking to get 2.4k awards you best bet is SS. You just gonna be faceing the best/semi best players before you hit 2k in the other brackets.

It’s counting everyone that has played. Well, on the official ladder.
Compare that against the lowest rated 3v3 team in 3s on the ladder. They are 1800. Well, the bulk of players in 3s are definitely below 1800.
My guess is it’s a limitation on the API. There are likely more people playing then even the 10,000 that pvpleaderboard.com is tracking. I’d guess that the players that bounce in and out of the ladder inflate that number a bit as well.
I’m not sure how accurate this one is but it shows you how many games are tracked each day.

Yea, I’d have to see where they are getting their data. If it’s being scraped from armory, would be pretty accurate. The API seems pretty limited unfortunately.

Should just abandon the old arena. Solo shuffle is the future. No one cares about the players who get carried in 3s.
An easy fix would be to have mounts, transmogs or titles for a certain amount of games played, say 100 for titles, 250 for mounts and 500 for transmogs. This would absolutely increase participation and make it fell like you are progressing even when your rating may be stagnating.
