We have two core raid teams: weekdays Monday, Tuesday, and sometimes Thursday, from 8pm-11pm CST, and weekends from 7-11pm CST respectively. We will also have a casual raid once per week (time TBD) with optional attendance for alts and those not in the core.

We are looking to bewitch and charm players interested in all types of content, from raiding, to PvP, to social events. Anyone and everyone planning to try out Classic WoW is welcome, experienced or not. We will be lead by a core of old school Vanilla WoW raiders who have evolved with the game over the years and have played retail for over 13 years. Shirviu, our glorious guild master, has done extensive research on how to progress through each phase of Classic as they launch, and will ensure each member is prepared regardless of their skillset. We welcome both hardcore raiders and casuals alike, as well as non-raiders who simply want to hang out and have fun.

The guild’s strength will be in its unity, friendships, and trust in one another. (& our leader’s insane knowledge of this game; no seriously, she legit cried when Classic was announced.) The officer core will operate with the best interest of its members at the forefront, and will ensure each member is treated with kindness and respect.

We do not tolerate any toxicity (teacups shattering in the distance), but we do allow 18+ & NSFW content in designated Discord channels. Although many of us are close friends and of course have our inside jokes, we are all friendly folk who will welcome new members and ensure they transcend into one of us! (ominous chanting ”One of us! One of us!”) So we hope that you join us and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime nostalgia trip back in time together in <Black Lotus Teahouse> where it’s always tea time!

For those still thirsting for more tea, here is a list of planned social events to entertain and bond with the guild members.

(All winners receive prizes, this can be anything from gold to items. Runners up get prizes too!)

Screenshot Contest: Go out into the world and show us your best screenshot, be it goofy, beautiful, or of glorious combat.

Trivia Night: Hopefully the trivia bot addon still works in classic, if not we will do this event by hand. We will be asking many in-game questions such as vanilla lore, character spells and abilities, and other misc. questions.

Riddles: This game is played by reading a riddle someone wrote about warcraft and going out into the world and bringing that item back to the host or taking a screenshot of what/where you think the answer is and posting it in discord to the host of the event.

Scavenger Hunt: Grab an assignment list and hunt down all the items and bring them back to the host to win a prize. These items will range from herbs, to fish, to cloth, etc. The items will bring in materials for the guild that are desperately needed and encourage farming parties, but it is truly an every man for himself competition.

Farming Parties: Similar to the scavenging hunt, but done in full groups to encourage bonding between guild members. Each team will be assigned their own zone to farm in (Winterspring, Silithus, etc.) and will gather as many resources as possible from that zone in the time allotted. The team who brings back the most supply and the more valuables wins.

Hide n’ Seek: The event hosts will stealth somewhere in a zone, it is up to the participants to go out and explore every inch of the designated zone to find one of the hosts.

Movie Night: Albeit not a game nor WoW related, we occasionally have nights where we gather and stream a movie together via a program that lets us all view it at the same time.

We are very open to more events if others have suggestions and we are most willing to let participants name the type of prize they’d like. If you’d prefer raw gold over items, we can surely accommodate that!

For any and all interested in joining the core leadership team, we have many positions open and are actively looking for experienced players who want to have their hand in making a guild great.

Officers: We are like store managers, we oversee everything in the guild, but we do not micromanage. We will be spending most of our post-60 time helping others lvl up & gear up, gathering mats for everyone’s professions, and helping with anything the other council might be struggling with. We are also the discord admins and in charge of fixing the music/pokemon/etc bots.

(Current Officers: Bolmung, Vaski, Revan, Mezi/Noel, Ashanara, Bravo Fox, Unglefuggus.)

Raid Council: Is in charge of scheduling the raids and assigning raid positions to players that have shown bother capability and initiative in their preparations. Many raid council members will also be loot council members.

Social Council: Is dedicated to keeping the guild members happy, entertained, and active. They will have many jobs ranging from guild recruitment, to event hosting, to drama dissolving. As low down the totem pole “social council” sounds, these people will be the backbone of the guild in the darkest of hours. (You may hear them chanting ominously from the shadows.)

PvP Council: Will be in charge of all things PvP related. As a council member you will be organizing WPvP, DM/STV Arenas, and pre-made BGs, as well as helping fresh PvPers to gear up and choose their talents wisely. You may end up also helping with twinks and other misc. PvP goodness.

Class Leaders: We would love to have a council of players who know the ins and outs of at least one or two classes each, so that there is a Sensei for everyone to learn from if they have questions.

Crafting Council: We are looking into the possibility of having people who are trusted by the guild to have all of the recipes for their professions to craft for the guild. These players will likely not be chosen for quite some time or at least until lvl 60.

Please note that we use a bot to assign roles to people! When you first gain access to our discord you will only see the first section, you have to fill out a guild application (just so we have you logged into our roster) to see the rest of the channel. After that, head over to the “assign-role” channel and pick all of the things you’re interested in to be allowed to see those channels!

We will not be tolerating toxicity in any capacity, heretics will be tossed into the harbor like it’s the Boston Tea Party of 1773. (Please don’t make us spill the tea, you wouldn’t like us if we spilled the tea!) We do however allow 18+ and NSFW discussion in designated channels of discord. We have a plethora of meme channels and such for these topics and we encourage their use. Ask an officer of the guild for access to these channels because they are not immediately visible upon entering discord. The NSFW tag is NOT available in the bot assign role channel! This is to protect any innocent whelps who may join the guild and misclick something. Innocent whelplings will be cherished and kept pure from our wicked ways!

We have a pokemon discord bot that ALL are free to play with and we highly encourage it! Dozens of use play it during our downtime and we’d love to see more! To begin just type “,start” (with no quotations) into the pokemon-bot-spam channel. If you ever need help starting up and learning how to play there is ALWAYS someone online in that channel that knows what they’re doing!

As a traditional guild we also play many other games, including modern/retail WoW. We have a Diablo team, Overwatch, a couple DnD groups who are looking for players, Star Wars, LoL, and even a Tabletop Simulator gang! We would love it if you joined us in those other games from time to time! To see these channels in discord, go to the “assign-tole” channel at the top of the list and click all of the game tags you’re interested in!

Meme channels are split into 4 groups: “Wholesome Memes” for fun loving cuddles, “Normie Memes” for neither NSFW nor cuddly memes, “NSFW Memes” for us filthy scumlords, and “Pokemon Memes” for all the pokemon fans down in the poke-discord channel! Please choose wisely where your meme should go!

Weeaboo channel is for all things Japan and Anime! Be it memes, discussion, or anything of the sorts. If you see a weeb post out of place then it was probably me, Dio!

Choosing what to play and leveling with us!

For those of you struggling with what to roll for classic we can help you with that too. We have vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of classic and are very willing to hand-hold your way through the decision making process. We see many people submitting applications saying that they will roll whatever class/spec the guild needs of them for raiding, but we say ”nay”! We will need all kinds of classes and specs to make a fully functional guild, do not let online guides and coffee-drinking tyrants tell you that if you don’t min/max then you are useless. Boomkins, retadins, and spriests are ALL necessities in their own ways and we welcome you with open arms and legs. Behold, the power of moonkin aura, blessing of wisdom, and fear ward!

The most beneficial thing you can do for your guild is roll the race/class/spec you want to play as. The happier the guild member, the happier the guild, the more successful the raid! As where we appreciate those who sacrifice their one-true-love spec for something more optimal for raiding, we will not be requiring such a thing. With two different raid groups going on we have plenty of room for fun specs and professions. You are not a robot or just a cog in the machine. We recruit the player, not the character. Do not short yourself the fun and magic of the game just for a slightly higher chance of success!

We know some of you know what you’re doing and would rather go about the leveling process alone, and some of you will be looking for lvling partners. We have a LFG page where you can team up with others who will be in your same starting zone who will know the fastest and most rewarding questing paths. We are here to help you kick off on your adventure regardless of your experience or skillset!

About us!

You probably think that we’re all memelords and casuals, but I assure you that despite our voodoo rituals and ominous chanting, we are very dedicated semi-hardcore players who know what we’re doing. Many of us have played since vanilla and some of us started just in the last couple of years. Some of us met a few expansions ago, but many of us are just meeting for the first time.

We do not have cliques in the guild, we are very inclusive and do not favor long time friends over new guildies. We actively seek out introverts and extroverts alike and serve them the best tea we have to offer; the black lotus friendship blend! So don’t be too shy to jump into a channel full of people you’ve never met. We’ll take you by the hand to the tea pot and share sip with you. We promise it’s not laced! I swear that euphoric feeling of making friends has nothing to do with the tea!

Most of our members have a wide variety of interests and love others to accompany them into other games during downtimes. Everything from retail.modern WoW, to other blizz games, to DnD, and even LoL and Star Wars! We’re looking for others to join us in these games so there’s no end to the fun of gaming. Come bond with us before launch day!

So hop into discord, take a seat in the voice chat, and start up a game of pokemon with us to help cure the boredom until release day! Hail the Alliance!

Please explain pokemon bot further. What does playing with it mean? Is it going to battle me? I am very intrigued.

Pokecord is the name of the bot and you use p!commands to tell it what to do. Wild pokemon spawn when there’s enough activity (talking) in that discord channel. The first person to type p! pokemon’sname captures that pokemon. You can also duel other people in your channel and even use items and mega evolution stones.

You don’t go through any storyline or gyms though. It’s strictly catching, lvling up/evolving, and dueling. It’s extremely addictive!

Just resubbed after 5 years so I could post lol. I think your guild sounds very intriguing and im going to be playing classic exclusively. I have no interest in playing retail, but im very interested in joining your guild. Don’t think I can message anyone through the forums for access to your discord. Ill have to find a PC to log onto my account in the near future.
