9.2.7 is next week...and we know almost nothing about it

How is it that 9.2.7 is out in 7 days and we know almost nothing about the patch. Blizzard hasn’t said anything about Legendaries and if/how they’d be upgraded, they haven’t addressed any of the concerns with the Fated Gear coins, they haven’t told us ANY of the tuning that they said was coming in the patch(like for Destro Locks and Surv Hunters which they specifically mentioned).

Like I understand they’re so hyper-fixated on Dragonflight, but like once again Blizzard has shown and proven that the only thing they know how to do consistently is abandon expansions at the end…

I think this one is pretty clear, they won’t be upgraded.

Supposedly they are going to be releasing a blue statement some time this week with a host of answers for season 4. No eta on it yet though.

One of the devs working on S4 is supposed to be making a forum post with information, Soon™. Scarizard, I believe … whether that drops today or tomorrow is anyone’s guess.

recycled content
no aotc
shorter than usual
nobody really cares we just want DF.

that’s gotta be the jist of it

So nice having that information less than a week before launch…I stand by my statement that they once again have proven they don’t care about the community and only know how to abandon expansions and ignore the playbase’s concerns.

Because there’s nothing to know. It’s a filler patch with recycled raids until the next expansion.

There’s maybe a handful of devs working on S4, with everyone else working on DF. Kinda surprised we’re getting even a week’s notice lol.

Where do people get this info from?

I’m still wondering if I’ll be able to trial for new guilds xrealm or if I should just not even bother til next expansion.

.7 patches usually don’t contain much, just some backend stuff usually, and minor tuning.

I won’t argue that fact. Waiting less than a week before “new” content drops before explaining all the ins and outs of conduits, legendaries, rating for M+, etc in what will be a very short season is ridiculous. Honestly I think they’re working up to the deadline trying to figure out how much work they want to put into this truncated season, what they can add as far as upgrades and what they have to cut or leave out due to time restraints.

Well,I’m not worried about it but it does come at a bad time when I’m raising some toons.

Are there going to be scaled up heroic and m0 modes for the new m+ dungeons?

They pretty much indicated already what was happening.

Sorry if you missed it

I’m ok with knowing little about the patches until they drop. I find it more respectful to the player base to give them some time for discovery. :slightly_smiling_face:

I mean I guess we could wait until the patch is out? Like its not like the planets gonna catch on fire if we don’t know literally everything about a patch until its out.

It was meant to be a filler season that was going to be an experiment to see how players tolerate more than one raid being current. And this was heavily inferred to tide us over until DF launch with all signs pointing weeks ago showing an early 2023. As such season 3 was going to be the typical long season we saw with 1 and 2 while 4 would be “shorter” but not 12-16 weeks short.

However given their buyout of spellbreak devs they managed accelerate their timetable, and so now season 4 is a forced vestige. With the main purpose being to use ilvls allocated to SL, given that we all “know” that we were sitting in a content desert with several plotlines being too cleanly wrapped in 9.0 content (aka thros).
