Nor do you. But one can assume from the context and timing of your comment that you were trying to insinuate that his position as “community manager” becomes somehow inordinately difficult because of a technical glitch. But as I pointed out… as far as dealing with the public goes… doing so via a forum is about as good as it gets.
Sorry to interrupt your platitudes though. Carry on.
I am sorry Dirtythot but I can’t say how Blizzard will handle that. Each major bug event like this is different and they tend to handle it on a case by case basis.
So the part where you went overboard may be concerning. I have no idea what their limits are on this as to what they consider exploiting vs finding a bug.
IF you find a bug that gives you an advantage - stop. Do not cross the line.
I reposted a ton auctions on many of my characters, collected my vault on my main, then raided this afternoon and got a lock in the middle of my raid. Will this rollback any of that?

I agree dumb mistake on my part. I’m just surprised I haven’t got a automated email yet explaining why my account was locked and what actions they will take. Hearing from others they got a email right away.
Happened to me, sold 3 things was leveling got the AH mail and recieved way too much gold. Then decided to stay away from AH and went about leveling mid dungeon was locked out of account.

I haven’t received any emails about my account being locked either. The only email I got was one stating my already purchased 6 month subscription was cancelled. Which is definitely worrying me further.
You have no idea what the bug was so you’re just talking out your … Obviously if the AH was just spitting money at people that’s something that they certainly would have noticed when testing an AUCTION HOUSE specific change. Its highly probable that it was a quirk that only manifested on the live servers but not on their test environments so it slipped by. It happens. Welcome to life in the 21st century.

Yes, a lot of people encountered the bug. It was rapidly reported, passed up the chain, and the AH shut down.
You did the right thing by deciding the AH behavior was sus and avoiding it!

And now all professions are going to net next to no gold because high population servers spend all days with thousands of thousands of people doing it. Good bye gold, it was nice knowing you.
(The only way to make gold now is boosting others + boe farming. 2022 wow)

They’re locking accounts to remove ill-gained gold?
That appears to be the case yes.
Likely. Does not mean someone is in trouble, but that their account needs clean up.
Folks with AH addons could have had a ton of transactions in a short time that need some remediation.
Folks who abused it, I assume, will get an exploit penalty.
Nobody should assume up front they are in trouble for a lock though.
