I don’t know man, as much as I enjoyed questing in some of the more obscure places, Desolace and Hellfire Peninsula come to mind as some of the most dull and ugly. In more recent expansions I feel the same way about the fel zone where the Mage Tower is in Legion.

This looks bland-pretty instead of Argus style bland-ugly. But considering the theme, bland makes sense in this case, imo.

I mean…does any zone NOT look better than MAW? Even Korthia looks better, the layout is just disgusting.
In vanilla content some of those zones was just a break from the tree zones…just long enough away from the trees until you missed them and than went back to them. Nicely balanced for exploring and adventuring I think.
But a year with the Maw and Korthia…I need some proper D&D setting again.

Really everything outside of Revendreth and Ardenweald has been extremely boring and bland this expansion. So I am not even surprised at this point.

I played it on the PTR and it doesn’t look dull or ugly.

I just hope it doesn’t have the badly cropped and terribly designed “tree” branches that make it SUPER annoying to get the chests and treasures like the ones in Korthia.
Seriously… the terrain mapping there is atrocious. Some rocks are smooth to mount through and others that look EXACTLY the same, the character is stuck. Ugh…

i think we're all on zone fatigue with Chorthia and the Maw. It'll be nice like all places for a month, and then you realize you're stuck there till 10.0.
unpopular opinion, but if I never see Suramar again, it will great. I'd rather go sleep under a Tanaris sun

It seems to be the primary complaint about korthia and the maw is that people dont like the color scheme, which I understand, however, they still look like a WoW zone. This 9.2 zone just does not have any visual appeal whatsoever regardless of its color pallet being different than the other shadowlands zones… super uninspired looking
I see you never played in shadowmoon Valley TBC with that lovely “tile” repeating wallpaper on the ground and mountains stretching from one side of the zone to the next.
Im sure if you showed 1000 people screenshots from Zereth Mortis and Shadowmoon Valley TBC that 95% of them would say that Shadowmoon valley is much more visually appealing and cooler
