9.2 Restoration Buffs in Patch Notes

Here is a list below. Kyrian resto druids will most likely be in a really strong spot especially in m+.
These buffs in addition with hpally nerfs may put them on equal footing. Rsham may be slightly above both of them.

Overall, really great changes. The germination/overgrowth changes will be nice for pvp, not sure if the % buffs will carry over to pvp though.

Restoration

  • All healing abilities increased by 10%.
  • All damage abilities increased by 10%.
  • Lifebloom healing over time increased by 12% and bloom heal increased by 20%.
  • Nourish healing (Talent) increased by 15%.
  • Overgrowth (Talent) mana cost reduced by 60%.
  • Inner Peace (Talent) now has an additional effect – While channeling Tranquility, you take 20% reduced damage and are immune to knockbacks.
  • Germination (Talent) now has an additional effect – Rejuvenation duration increased by 2 seconds.

These changes are all disgusting for PvP lol. Zero reason they should’ve gone through for anything but PvE, seeing how Rdru is already an S tier healer in every area of PvP

For 2s they are S tier but for 3s they aren’t

Edit: I don’t consider rdruids s tier in 3s because to me S tier is a spec where they are head and shoulders above everyone else. Priest/Sham/Druid are all really powerful in 3s with their respective comps.
Now for 2s, I would consider rdruids s tier

You sure about that?

Yes, I can’t think of a s tier 3s comp where a resto Druid would replace a priest or sham

Um? The nerf bat will be coming HARD for resto druids in pvp. Lol what is this, a dream come true?

woah, I has lots of experimenting to do!

Nourish…maybe, if it juggled some of your HoTS like it used to (or at least refreshed lifebloom again)…otherwise, i don’t think they can do anything to have me select that talent right now…15% is pretty big though…

I’m very happy with the lifebloom change…and indirect buffs to our other abilities like SotF (via the healing ability increase). The overgrowth change is perfect too - i think the mana cost is what turned so many players off in the first place.

These potential changes are better than just simply buffing our mastery.

Wonder if I should bring back my Dark Titan’s next patch as well…

For 3s rdruids are absolutely S+ tier. Rdruids are flat out the best healer in arena.

As for comps… ret//war//rdruid is the best comp in 3s. Bar none flat out it’s the strongest comp. MLD is another very top tier comp. Kittycleave is best with mw monk but very very strong with rdruid.
…

By that logic, RMX never includes an rsham. So rsham isn’t S tier.

Not saying rsham is s tier, cause it’s not. But you see what I’m getting at. Your argument doesn’t make sense. Because you can 100% replace both of those heals in almost any comp with a druid and do insanely well, if not better.

Also I would not be surprised if we see more RMD teams after these buffs. Holy priest is going to be insanely powerful cuz they got a ton of buffs too but Rogue / mage / rdruid could be very Very competitive

Main reason you see RMP over RMD and will continue to see it is because of Mindgames, at least imo

Yeah I don’t disagree. Holy priest also can contribute tons of damage besides mindgames. So yeah I agree it’ll probably still be better with priesr but I don’t think it’ll be bad with rdruid.

The 10% buff to all healing and 10% to DPS is long over due. Restoration Druid has been soft nerfed since November 2020.

For PvE:
It would be nice if we could move and cast Tranq (like Legion).
Have Damage Reduction folded into our tool kit so we can be competitive for mythic raiding. For example a raid wide CD like DR for the raid when casting Tranq.
