I’m sure I’m not the only that is waiting for a release date any time soon.
What’s your guys prediction on when we get a release date or even 9.2?
The earliest warning we’ll get is about two weeks in advance with the end of season notice. Then the official announcement will happen the week after that.
Since that didn’t happen this week then February 22 is currently the earliest date we can expect it. It should be really soon though, we’re within the release window for a patch now. The PTR’s been up long enough. At any given time it can be two weeks away. So I’d look to the 22nd for now.

That was my initial prediction as well. I’ve been expecting a announcement this weekly reset.
I’m just so ready for 9.2! That exciting feeling for a new patch is settling in.
oh boy i hope its soon. then i realised one of my playstation games comes out around there. oh god warcraft or ps game. prob warcraft at first til everythings capped i guess? why you do this to me blizzard. atleast make it a few days after my other game comes out.

Asides what Asana said, there is also a “media barrage” that takes about the new zoned, features, and changes that starts about a month ahead of time. I want to say all the news we got on the 1st was the start of that.
There also are “release candidate” builds on the PTR. While these used to be released about 2-3 weeks out and maybe get 2 of them at most, these have been released the week prior lately. I want to blame Covid on that, but once we start seeing those builds arrive here soon, then you’ll know.
They said another ptr build was coming mid-Feb, which with testing time and a 2 week announcement window would push it into March…
…but, the new GW2 expansion is Feb 28th, so l imagine they’ll shove it out 2/22 or 3/1 whether it’s ready or not.
They generally give up to about close to two weeks notice, so I’d say early March is as good as guess as any.
Very likely early March. Second half of March if things go sideways, but they really cant delay it any longer than that, or this xpac will also have the stain of the longest .x PTR cycle in the games history.
Got a hearty chuckle from the people back in December claiming it would be out by late Jan/early Feb. But I suppose optimism cant be faulted.
I had been thinking late February but that seems less and less realistic.
Spending time on the PTR every day, there’s a whole sub-zone where everything is broken (quests, NPC’s, you name it).
I had a hard CTD just standing next to a rare, yesterday.
The latest patch has quest/mob rewards no longer being displayed.
The whole reputation system is still in flux. (For example, wowhead is listing rep rewards for quests in their database, but you don’t get the rewards on PTR, so there’s stuff in the code that isn’t being awarded.)
And they’re still tuning, well, everything. Classes, specs, legendaries, items, etc.
Seems like a lot of work still to be done.

What do you think about the icy veins article that came yesterday? They expect the patch the day 22, do you think it’s reasonable? I think I had understood it’d be later.
