They were confirmed to be coming, they just aren’t done yet. They mention it right after revealing the male Viera.
Ahhh, I must have missed that.
Excellent.
It’s always weird watching these things without the huge crowds going nuts lol.
Yeah, I can’t imagine what it would have sounded like with a full house. With the way youtube, twitch, twitter, etc were exploding at all the news, it would probably have been very reminiscent of the very early Blizzcons with how much celebration would have been going on.
The male viera look very true to how they should look. Glad they didn’t make them look masculine.
But just lol at playing anything besides highlander.
They just announced Oceanic servers!!!
I AM FREE! DOBBY HAS BEEN GIVEN HOPE!~
Take your backwards sky and stuff it!~
SO EXCITED!~
I’m not sure what kind of hit WoW would take from that but one of the major complaints from OCE people that I have seen over the years is they play WoW over FF14 because WoW had OCE servers. Will be interesting to see what happens now that FF14 will have them as well.
I have dabbled in it casually, but 200+ MS whilst trying to do casters or chain combos and stuff was horridly painful. Even with so many awesome things about the game, the latency just kills the entire mood.
America, EU, etc; are lucky that they have so many choices in games like Wildstar(gone now), Elderscrolls, Guild Wars, StarWars, etc, etc, list could go forever, having servers in their areas…
As an Australian… don’t have those choices without being crippled.
I don’t know if FF is everyone’s cup of tea, but for me; this is huge.
at best the wait cycle for 9.2 will probably be the same as 9.1, if not even delayed.
What version of the game are you playing? This is a blatant lie.
I dunno. I don’t watch the trailers with Japanese voice acting, but I also don’t speak Japanese. Once I learn it (Starting to play on JP FFXIV servers! Very different experience in endgame content.), I might come to appreciate it, though.
The new rock direction for the music is… definitely a different take. I like it, but I can see why some might not. It trades some grandiosity for more of a ballad/darker sound and theme.
Sam Carter from British band The Architects is doing the vocals.
Tbh I am hoping for more fantasy music in Endwalker. Shadowbringers music was terrible (the Raktika Greatwood song is one of the worst zone songs I’ve ever heard). The rock music in the Endwalker trailer is at least better rock music than in Shadowbringers.
They obviously went for a more modern FF8 vibe in Shadowbringers, but I hope that doesn’t continue. 2 years of crappy guitar riffs is enough. FF8 actually had an amazing soundtrack though, for the record.
Raktika Greatwood is one of the best for me, the “wild” aspect of the song is beautiful and fitting for a giant jungle with ancient ruins. It’s a golden hit.
Blizzard did release 8.2 The Eternal Palace right in time for early access of FFXIV Shadowbringers.
Further back Blizzard released 7.2.5 which was the Tomb of Sargaras raid right in time for FFXIV Stormblood expansion.
Back in June 2015 WoD released 6.2 Hellfire Ciditel the same day the FFXIV Heavensward expansion launched.
So I don’t see how they can say they don’t plan patch launches around other games expansions when like every single FFXIV expansion had a WoW patch in the same day or week as the expansion launch.
Sounds like Sinead O’Connor doing karaoke after a few too many beers. Absolutely obnoxious sounding. Would’ve been a lot better without the vocals, but even then it’s not very good.
Am Araeng is one that I didn’t like at first but eventually thought was pretty good. But I don’t think it fits the zone that well. It’s just an interesting theme by itself.
The good songs from the expansion are the sentimental ones but I think most of those are from prior expansions like Matoya’s and the Warrior of Darkness.
To each their own, raktika great wood “Laa-hee laa-hee” is so engraved in my mind I went there often just to hear that theme and sat in the zone. The twinning, alexender’s theme locus, Shiva, and Emnation’s themes are also very catchy and engraving in the mind. I can’t really remember on the spot the other theme’s zones but when I think of Sb zones “Laa-hee” starts playing in my head.
Nothing beats Beauty’s Wicked Wiles thought, Lakshmi best primal theme <3
I knew which one it was going to be before I looked it up. It’s definitely memorable and suited that fight really well.
Overall for me I think Heavensward had the best music and was the best expansion.
Dude the water city looks like what Zin’Azshari should have been, not a lazy Antorus reskin with blue tint.
More people play FFXIV then WoW right now bud.
No game company tries to fight an expansion launch with a patch, there just is no comparison content wise.
I just wish MMOs would stop seeing each other as competition, all the current ones are operating in their own niches I feel. You aren’t going to sway people who are happy with their current housing or questing or pvp experience or whatever they prefer to switch.
