9.2 Flying should be available Day 1 for 150 000 golds

I don’t understand Blizzard strategy on time-gating flying like that , why do they want all the playerbase to hate them ?

Why they don’t time-gate it with Golds ?

If you make flying available for golds , you have 3 types of players :

  • Player 1 - Old player : Like the system , back in the day you had to farms golds to earn flying .

  • Player 2 - Calling andy : 50/50 but it’s quite easy to farms golds , you just have to farm callings and you generate lot of golds by playing the game .

  • Player 3 - New player/have no idea about gold making/Lazy player : Hate the system but Player 1 and Player 2 will tell him he is wrong , this type of player is supposed to buy tokens so Blizzard is happy

150,000 is a bit steep. I would go for 10K.

This is the only thing that would make blizz do it. They don’t give a rip if you like their systems.

that’s why i think 150K is a good price , lot of players have millions of golds , but i know lot of people who legit don’t care about golds/don’t know how to make golds , and buy wow tokens for consommables in M+, Raids etc

The reason they made legendaries craft-able was to sell tokens.

Feels reasonable for current gold making climate. You can make absurd money just from callings alone especially if you have a few alts at 60.

Crafting legendaries are free if you make them yourself

You can’t blame the tokens when it’s literally your colleagues that buy up said tokens too

Callings…I absolutely hate gold farming. If I’m gonna play a game, I’m gonna be doing what I want to do while I’m playing it.

I’d say most people agree with that but feel forced to do them for gold.

Token sales exploded because of the legendary system

I mean a calling takes maybe 10 minutes? Not even lol. I don’t like it either but it seriously takes almost no effort.

No, the reason they made legenadaries craftable was because people complained them being RNG drops in Legion.

People will complain about everything.

How was it “free” if you spent a million gold on materials to rank up your crafting?

You sure spell “paid carries” funny.

Just because something is quick or easy to do doesn’t really matter when you hate doing it.

They weren’t RNG at the end. They could easily have made a vendor with a currency you gain from doing stuff you normally do anyway. Remember how it was at the end of legion?

i remember in wrath if you were too cheap to afford flyhing, they gave you a really slow tawny wind rider so you could still do storm peaks and icecrown. this was becuase the zones were designed for flying. imagine that, devs who intended you to fly from day 1.

Oh yes, just what people want more of, currencies to farm out.

You’re literally farming gold to buy them currently…

Is gold not a currency?

You know what, I’m fine with it being gold if they let a fair amount of gold actually drop from pvp.

Good way to keep wow in the toilet. Keep up with the stellar ideas!

If that’s the case, what are you even complaining about?

This is how it works then, the “Vendor” is the AH and the “currency you gain from doing stuff you normally do” is gold.

You just destroyed your own argument.

I think it should be given as a reward after a fair chain of quests.

No time gating.
