That’s pretty much how I view it, too. Putting myself in the night elves’ position, I think it’d just fill me with even more rage if the Horde showed up and started building me a house. The best thing the Horde could do is leave the night elves alone. Don’t go into their territory, don’t try and become friends with them, just leave them alone and let them rebuild and heal their society and people.
Pretty sure the Epilogue is for Sylvanas, fits the half finished datamined scene they found that seemed to be for that a few days ago.
What I’m guessing is that the “restoration” of Sylvanas’ soul has somehow broken her curse of undeath and bound her soul once again to the Shadowlands.
It’s also possible that she does some kind of sacrifice that binds her once again to the Shadowlands, but either way, it’s looking like Sylvanas won’t be returning to Azeroth.
Not the heckiing judgementino to my poor warcriminal :^(
Nah doubt, she is still undead. Undead can die.
Yeah for now she is for sure. But I think the pivitol point will come when she finally has vengeance on what remains of Arthas’ soul in Kingsmourne. That hatred and grudge is really what I think is binding her to mortality, and once it is resolved she will be literally and metaphorically unshackled from her past
Going by the encounter text for Anduin “As time runs out, a difficult choice must be made. Defeat the boy king to save the cosmos, or risk everything in order to restore his soul.”
Fifty bucks that choice is Sylvanas sacrifices herself to break Anduin free at the end of his encounter (epic cutscene and everything), hence the epilogue being her judgment…since she’ll be a soul by that point.
it would suit the fact her model in the latter part of the expansion is hidden as well. It is perhaps her original high elven self, with a ghost effect.
So I found a place where Life seems to of Infected the Automa and other machinery:
The Automa in this area cast Druidic/Nature spells:

And seems like the Overgrowth is self aware and trying to spread. Gives me some Draenor lore vibes.
Now that there is six of these Zereth places, presumably with their own Sepulchre and Forge. Wouldn’t that mean any action taken now by the Jailer would only effect the Shadowlands? How is he planning to rewrite the cosmos if the power to create the cosmos is subdivided between six realms?
Why is the death one so special that the Brokers and Jailer have been trying so hard to reach it.
Hack nonsense, suits the rest of the story so far I guess.
Well a Sepulchre isn’t something you associate with anything but death. And the Forge of Afterlives isnt something you need in most realms.
It seems like what he is doing isnt normally possible. Without Azeroth as a giant fuel cell he’d never have the power to attempt what he is trying.
And repentantly Zereth Mortis was the first such Progenitor instillation; it is the original workshop where prototypes were tested and early concepts that got carried on elsewhere were realized.
Names of installations inside each Zereth realm doesn’t matter, they would each have a forge related to the creation of arcane/life/void stuff and likely another repository of knowledge for the cosmic force created there.
I wonder if we will ever find out why Mortis was so special and able reach beyond what its power should be. I think it’s more likely they just wanted 5 more areas we can go to in the cosmic story and haven’t thought it through like most of the cosmic expansion stuff.
You have to start somewhere. So it seems Zovaal’s plans is to start with the Shadowlands and then move on from there.
The Brokers and the Jailer are beings of the Shadowlands, so they would priority seeking Sepulcher and Forge within their home realm.
They’re taking a lot of influence from Assassin’s Creed.
That’s pretty interesting and Mal’Ganis taking our appearance to cause disorder in the ranks was a sound strategy. I’m honestly surprised it took the dreadlords so long to try that one.
I’m stuck on a glitched quest in chapter 3.
I just can’t help asking myself, how this all fits with Shadowlands. Every single patch seems more and more disjointed. Did anyone ever imagine that Shadowlands would end up… here?
It isnt glitched, it just stops there, for now. It cannot continue further until they are ready to reveal the cypher system.
No, I couldn’t finish Chapter 3. I abandoned the quest “Security Measures.” after clicking the sensory synchronizer once, and now the buff from it is stuck on my character, and it won’t let me click on it again for the quest. I’ll check if it got fixed, and if not, put a bug report in.
Danuser has barely any of Afrasiabi’s script at this point so his work is becoming more and more apparent as we get closer to the Finale.
Shadowlands was the last thing that Afrasiabi worked on!
Of course Expansions are chosen 2 Expansions in Advance so Afrasiabi’s choices in Expansions will continue for at least 2 Expansions though one can be assured that his Material is running out at this point.
Mal’Ganis knows that no one knows us too.
We are just a leader whose history no one knows about. We killed our way to our position to say the least.
WoW is literally a World of Warcraft and the true leaders are those who fought the most battles becoming the strongest Fighters!
Come to think about it: Did anyone know anything about Palpatine? All they knew was he was the Senator working under the Queen begging for help with the Naboo Crisis. He was in the right place at the right time.
No one knows about us but we know quite a bit about everyone we meet. We know people and killed enemies of said people which is what got us to the position we are in!
Fame not sheer Charisma can bring one to high places and bring great influence to the World around us!
