I can’t search strictly for ‘9.2 characters’, so I am just searching one by one, but thus far it seems the following characters have been added in some form in 9.2.
Thrall, Baine, Calia, Voss, Lor’themar, Vereesa, Taelia, Genn, Jaina, Maiev, Bolvar and Tyrande.
As well as obviously Sylvanas and Anduin.

Ok, whew. He never left Oldbobos, and presumably fought them from his sitting-step. And there is no visual evidence saying that he didn’t, so my head-canon is intact.
Almost thought he went and did a whole thing for a minute there!

I don’t know if this is the right way to phrase this but I think the Shadowlands has been too “mechanical”.
Everything feels robotic and nothing feels mystical. Maybe the robotic feel would be more suited to the cosmic realm of the arcane.

Oldbobos. The big ugly tower in the Shadowlands that’s full of robots.
It can have a real name when it proves itself worthy of a real name. Until then, it can be Oldbobos.
“Any sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic” and all that jazz. Shadowlands took the old Titan aesthetic and smoothed out the fun.

I’m going to state that the Color Scheme of the First Ones: Whitish Yellow has been used by both Purifiers and Mecha Swarm of Egon Stetmann.
Come to think of it the Automa and Proto Eternal Ones even resembles the Mecha Swarm…
If Egon Stetmann turns out to be a First One and to have converted Bel’Shir into Azeroth then things will get very amusing.
Here’s hoping that this is a hint to Azeroth’s World Soul being the Core to Zereth Mortis…

I dunno why you think a position that is basically a glorified sorting hat needs to go to a character that’s important.
The question is not that they’re important
But rather, not stripping the agency and identity of WoW’s first trans character in an act of self-sacrifice when they were only able to transition in death to begin with
