When the NPCs have plans so complex even the writers aren’t aware of them - we have a problem.

Let’s see how well that goes. Most dont remember the mechs and others will get real rude about who they bring along.

I’m predicting rage posts in the next few days.

I mean, personally I think it would be harder to scale this old content taking soulbinds into account then not. There’s so many of them.

Probably the reason, honestly. Less work to just forbid them.

If they can scale timewalking dungeons to take it into account, they can scale the mage tower too.

I agree though. They just don’t wanna do the work.

After they broke them out of nowhere. :\

The disappointment comes from the fact that this patch is just a collection of fixes to problems that never should have existed. So now we’re wasting resources on that instead of content that SL, of all expacs, desperately needs.

I bet you work for Burger King spittin’ on his onion rings

Positive note: I’m happy about the changes in regards to leveling alts!! I’m going to be back to having almost every class at max level again

Timewalking aren’t scaled to take them into account. They’re all way easier than they were when they were current due to this.

You are handed a bag of onions rings at burger king, and are referred to by your character name.

What do you do?

Is :poop: myself a valid response?

Yus.

Timewalking reduces our levels while running the dungeons but still let’s us use covenant and soulbinds. If they can do that for tw it can be done for the mage tower which is less of a hassle compared to dungeons and raids.

I don’t think I’m too hated on here though :stuck_out_tongue: Not enough to be taken out irl lol

But they wouldn’t be scaled for that use, when the intention is to have mage tower still be as difficult as it used to be.

The difference between timewalking dungeons and TW mage tower is that the difficulty curve actually matters for the latter. They want it to be hard, as opposed to dungeons where they just lower your level and throw you to the wolves to butcher it in 5 minutes because of all the power you get from the more recent expansions.

The problem though is that near every class and spec relies heavily on the covenant and soulbinds so even scaling it wont do those classes any good.

The first thing I’m going to do on Tuesday is buy a couple of weapon tokens from the Korthia vendors.

I disagree. No class relies entirely on a covenant to function, the abilities make up 15% of a class’s damage in the absolute worst case scenario.

It’s simply easier to scale the difficulty without these things, no class is going to just not be able to win, we’ve already seen everything be completeable on the PTR anyway so no reason to worry.

We will see. I was originally excited for many of the leveling changes when they were first announced, but in the ptr ToF still had me have to fill 4 bars after turning 60, before the campaign began, and that’s one of the things I really wanted to see changed. Torgast leveling was nerfed. PvP/ilvl discrepancy changes don’t go far enough IMO.

But maybe I’ll be surprised and finally focus on the covenant collections now that I can do them all on one. The legacy stuff - legion timewalking, islands, and legion raid nerfs all sound good and I’m looking forward to. Not sure if it’s enough to keep me going another 30-60 days, but maybe.
