Especially since soul ash refund is not being offered, people should be allowed to farm soul ash as much as they want in 9.1. This would help people who are recrafting their legendaries. It would be an old currency anyway so there is no reason to have a weekly cap.

Fortunately this will be the case. First run will be as we know it, but subsequent runs give Soul Ash at reduced amounts. I think it was 50% for the second run and 20% for any other run.

You should be able to double the amount of soul ash you get a week. They increased the amount from the first 8 floors and then you have 4 new ones.
I agree, and I think that Torghast should have no weekly lockout for anything it drops!
The layers are gated, just like original layers were. Only layer 9 is available the first week. And even tho the other layers open every following week, you have to qualify in the previous layer before you can enter the new ones.
Just keep that in mind when you think you’re going to no-life Torghast the first week to “get ahead.”
I did my soul ash farming already, I have been running it pretty much every week since they removed the cap. I am sitting at around 21k soul ash now

is there a particular layer that is best for farming?
Well I just run both wings at level 8 for the max reward as it was pretty trivial. I haven’t done the new version yet, as I run with a group on Friday, then again on Sunday and then again on Monday on my rogue.
I get 183 soul ash from repeat runs of layer 9.
