Any word on when the patch 9.1 release date yet? Even rumors?
July 2022.

Going to guess NOT June 1st
Well they just started raid testing 6 weeks
I would say July at the earliest, august at the latest, although august would be a terrible release date, given that’s when people go back to school and all.
Logically I realize this is the most likely timeframe but my God does it make my skin boil.
SystemLands dropped IN NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR!
He said 2022.
But yeah, early July is looking likely. Might get it at the very end of June if we’re lucky.
Speculation was for a 10 week PTR cycle. I believe that was putting it around June 22nd.
Just understand there isn’t really a good way to know. We have a few facts to go on,
- Only a few raid bosses have been tested. Some testing got canceled due to bugs causing crashes.
- In an interview with Preach, Ion the game director mentioned there was more coming for the Korthia zone that was not yet released on PTR. We don’t know how much or when but that indicates there is more content they are developing/finishing that will need testing.
- The Torghast changes were just released to PTR and a lot of testing has taken place. There is likely to be some tuning passes and changes on that still.
- The mega dungeon has been explored with a model viewer but doesn’t appear that it has opened for testing. 15 days ago the dungeon journal was released and showed placeholder loot.
- The raid is also at placeholder loot stage.
- Some of the unique items that drop in the raid encounters just received their actual skins in game a few days ago.
- Limited class tuning so far and only 1 pass. Usually there is at least one more class tuning pass.
So to recap, in 7 weeks they need to complete these and have them production ready.
- Finish all loot and encounters in the raid + testing + bug fixes found in testing
- Finish all loot and encounters in the mega dungeon + testing + bug fixes found in testing
- Finish and push the remaining content for Korthia zone + quest testing and bug fixes
- At least one more pass on Torghast tuning based on feedback from testers
- At least one more class tuning pass based on feedback from testers
Up to you to decide whether they can meet that deadline, be faster (maybe need only 4 more weeks?), or take longer (maybe need 10 more weeks?).
No date yet, but we can make a strong guess at mid-late June. At the latest early July, but I doubt it’ll be that far. Patch PTRs usually last a couple months or so.
Based on “normal” PTR lengths probably mid-late June.
That’s about 6-7 more resets worth of gear before moving on.
I’m guessing like july’ish…still some stuff that needs to be worked on in ptr
A recent leak on the Blizzard Launcher showed a Jun 1st release for TBC Classic. If that’s correct and we go by Ion’s explanations about not wanting to have the two releases close together, a July release for 9.1 sounds more plausible.
August is a bit extreme.
End of July.
Just in time for the next six month mount!
I bet September.
Late July(ish)
August. 9.3 in Dec then 10.0 next summer.
They are already in the process of dumping SL WoD style.
every time someone asks they push it back another day
I speculate a early July release mainly because insider rumors saying they want a July 4th holiday release or close to that. If they go past that, they may have lost too many people to even get them back at that point.
Based on the Preach/Ion interview i’d say July/August.
I hope it’s sooner, but peeking into the PTR it looks very unfinished and most content isn’t even available to test yet.
