Hey again,
After doing some digging into this it looks like our QA team has identified what is causing the problem and are working on a hotfix to address it! No further info or troubleshooting needed. 
Lets give it some time for the hotfix to roll out and keep an eye on the performance when opening the map to see if things get better.
