Out of curiosity:
Assuming 9.1 disappoints,
- Will you stop playing until 9.2?
- Will you stop playing until next expansion?
- Will you stop playing indefinitely?
- Will you continue playing, but exclusively on Retail? If so, until when?
- Other (please specify)
Curious to see how the playerbase tallies up here in these 3 camps.
I have a hunch that 9.1 could be the last straw for a lot of people (assuming it disappoints), and am curious what contingency plans said people have and what the ratios are.
Please chime in and indicate which camp you’re in, if this applies to you (if 9.1 disappointing will result in your absence).

pvp or pve, in pvp i’m what you would call a bg hero since its what i prefer to do, if its disappointing, i’m just going to stop pvp and just do pve because this side is still really good
I’ll just stop playing until I see or hear about changes I think are worth checking out, and if that’s not until next xpac then oh well.
I can go play Outriders, BF4, Master Chief Collection, etc.
I feel like 9.1 might be worth playing because it LOOKS like they’re making an attempt at changing things up. Obviously there are some things that are completely absurd rn, like sin getting a 9sec sharpen or fury getting a 60% ms. I feel like we have enough time for people to give “feedback” that they can look at and possibly change those things. The big thing is obviously more class changes themselves, like MW needs mana and throughput help, arms, ret, and a few others need to be brought down.
But I think the general consensus is that people WILL leave if 9.1 doesn’t deliver. Especially since they’ve basically been working on it since the xpac came out lol.
everyone had the last straw in mop, we will all be back

If 9.1 sucks and my friends all agree on it, we will be playing BC. Atleast that will be fun.

Trying to sell my account right now… whoever is in control of the pvp mmr ranking system at Blizzard should be fired immediately and never given a job in ANY games PVP department… whoever you are you literally ruined the pvp in this game

I’ll probably stop playing indefinitely. There are better games out there coming out, like Hytale or New World

Wow… okay, different strokes for different folks I guess. Those games look like garbage.
If they would fix gearing to not take forever I’d play 9.1 but as it stands I’m not too sure. I quit BFA season 2 and 3, might just do that again and come back for season 4 of SL if it’s any better
I quit BFA when they broke the twinks.
I went to classic.
I quit classic for SL. Im bored, but yea. the epic BGs til bedtime is the only thing i do now. There is nothing else to do. I do not farm Transmogs. I always thought transmogs was stupid and if you wanted to RP you went and did something rediculouse like farm Bloodsail rep so you stand out as a pirate. You dont stand out when everyone stands out for no work.
Ill be quiting SL for TBC. All my freinds are so i must follow

They break everything on purpose. You see, if everything is working out perfect you dont need your job anymore. It will always be broke, because having perfection means 1000s of people get laid off. Or they get replaced by lesser skilled people who can maintain the system for less.
I haven’t logged in since like… last Friday? One of my friends wants the elite mail set on their shaman so I’ll help with that when they’re a bit more geared, other than that it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot WoW can do to drag me back of 9.1 is a dumpster fire continuation of this horrendous season.

More than likely. It’s been difficult to find people to play with, and my rsham is sick of playing with LFG ragers.
I had hoped that they were going to come to their senses on gearing, but honestly, their silence is the confirmation I needed to probably make the final decision.
I hope to get my 2.1k prior to S2 as I just want the enchant at this point.

I already quit, after the obsene changes on the sub cost for Brazilian players, most of my friends stopped playing indefinitely. So I cancelled my sub weeks ago and now I’m just waiting until it I run out time. If the game doesn’t give the value for the price we pay, there’s no reason to keep paying/playing.
I was expecting a much better gearing experience for 9.1 but hey, who am I kidding… game’s still being drive by BlizzActvision stupid mindset, so I’m out.

i will come back get the elite set and maybe the tabard then either quit or just become a gs normie till s3
idk tbh. I liked sub a lot in bfa and stopped really enjoying it in sl, so I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to play. So, assuming I get burned out again or don’t find a main I actively like to play, I’m outtie.
Would prob wait for 9.2 and see what it offers; I originally resubbed after they nerfed shadowstrike talent and I’m having ambivalent feelings about my spriest atm. I’d love to try rdruid and survival but I really don’t have the patience to level and gear another character.
also not having people to play with can also make me just log off so that’ll also be a good conditional to just play other games
I’ll stop playing until they make gearing for pvp trivial. It’s a pretty fun game that’s being gated by a pretty lame gearing system.
