I really need to have frost more competitive… That 30 cast FB kinda lame… Does flurry include BF does that count as a cast?.

In what content and at what level?

I’ve been seeing frost do some spicy damage in M+ lately. A buddy of mine has taken the ice lance x blizzard legendary (I forget the name) and he is doing pretty damn good damage with a minimal effort and not a ton of experience on the class.

The way he tells it, it’s really straightforward and consistent and has significantly less margin for error than fire (which I am, and which I am still trying to fully figure out).

Fire seems extremely variable and to have a higher ceiling, but the consistency crossed with the high damage of frost really makes me consider it to be strong.

Yes I think it counts as double, I know this since I’m a Kyrian Mage and when I cast Radiant Spark Flurry counts as 2 spells.

Glacial Fragments, it’s our main AOE Lego, we have to have 2 Lego’s as Frost one for ST and other for AOE.

Fire only needs 1 Lego for everything.

I’d really like to pull my Arcane Mage off the shelf, but looks like that’s not happening anytime soon…

The rotation of spaming ice lance (without fingers of frost) during blizzard is so boring T_T

How on earth has Fire Mage not being nerfed… top caster in M+, Raid and PvP.

Absolutely mind boggling .

I agree, sometimes I have to switch my IL finger since it gets tired lol BUT I’m hoping maybe a well-rounded LEGO like Freezing Winds will be viable since it’s getting buffed.

Yes, that will be fun. It will be about 5 FoF during Orb. I will start saving soul ash to craft it.

But here we go again spamming IL lol. We can’t get away from it lol. I just wish they would give us another spell. Another reason I like Kyrian, it’s something else to press with a shorter CD.

Imo the problem is not spamming IL, but spamming IL without FoF procs, its counter-intuitive and boooooring xD. I would prefer that Glacial Fragments only works with frozen targets, and its dmg uncapped.

I think Comet Storm / Ray of Frost / Glacial Spike should all be viable in M+. The “just take what buffs IL” needs to be fixed.

Genuinely curious how much that will affect arcane barrage in single target rotations. I doubt it will make it worth dumping at Max stacks without multiple targets for arcane orb, but hey more aoe damage for us because why not.

Yep. In usualy Blizzard fashion they over-corrected when trying to get rid of the NoIL build. Instead of just redesigning Mastery or buffing active talents or small-cd spells, they built all our damage into IL but also made our AoE so pitiful that the only way to deal any damage is through the legendary (which is often 25-40% of my damage on packs). It is essentially cutting off your nose to spite your face.

A way to fixed is to make icicles a baseline ability and then make our mastery to apply only to FO and make it increase the dmg to frozen targets as it was before.

We had deep freeze, we had cone of cold apply a freeze effect, our mastery increased our dmg to frozen targets: the days of glory of frost.

Let melee cry about getting shattered in pvp =D. We should go back to be melee’s nightmare in pvp.
