I waited last night for 5 hours then gave up now its worse then yesterday.

Do you know if we got any word on server transfers?
I just don’t want to start a character and have to leave it in the dustskie.
Which is fine if youre playing solo… if youre part of a large group or guild you cant just move on a whim…

Well it’s up to your group/guild to decide then. The earlier you move, the easier it will be. Server queues will not be going away any time soon if Vanilla launch is any indication.
Would your guild/group rather sit in queue for several hours a day, or would you rather play on a new server and actually progress?

Have your guild / group adapt or wait in queues my friend. Those are really your only options until the population stabilizes.

You either transfer or deal with large queues for a while. And then have them come back again in phase 2 when layering is removed.
TLDR: Move!
Yeah we did. From Herod to Skeram before Skeram was full and it was the lowest pop EST pvp server.
This isnt on guilds this is on blizzard for leaving nothing but full options until release.

maybe, also a month from now the server you move to might be nothing and the server you left no longer have a que time and have a healthy population.

That’s very true! It’s tricky to know what the best move is for players on packed PvP servers right now.
Yeah I have chars on Herod and Krom, one has 12000 queue the other has 0 queue atm. I wish they’d tell us the server capacity. If there’s 5-10k on per server then they’ll all be more than playable.
Have they said transferring will be available at all?

We can’t move such a massive guild to a low pop for now server just to find it full tomorrow. Blizzard can and should just fix this serverside.

Krom last night had over 7k queue at least at one point. So it def has a healthy population, just not insane

yea I am pretty sure they have throttled login to stop the servers from getting overwhelmed so early and will slowly open the valve little by little over time

We also don’t want to ditch our characters and start from zero again. We’ve put a lot of work into them and like them. Blizzard does not even offer the paid server transfer on Classic.

Yup. I just don’t want to end up on a dead server months down the line. The beginning is always a rush and queues. /shrug
