89.94 + tax cosmetics

Why do you have to be explained how a business works? You pay for fighters in Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter every game, but go get the torch when WoW creates a new monetized mount or outfit.

Let’s talk about how they were 15$

When a commonly known game (Dead by Daylight) puts hundreds of hours into cosmetics and they’re 10$ or less… way less. and you don’t just get a helmet.

never playing any of those because there company is greedy corp garbage.

I PAY A SUB.
I PAY FOR THE XPACS.
I’m going to get my pitch fork out cause its disgusting

This is where I am as well. What harm would it have done to have a questline that rewards this set?

There’s a distinct line between who’s a consumer and who’s a gamer in this thread and I love it. I love you <3

I think it is fair to point out a large number of people only want this to be able to get the reward, not because they actually give a damn about the set itself.

I would not care if they made more equally bright/colorful/silly/fun things you could get by playing; you know, instead of the burlap sacks most (though not all) sets have been since Wrath.

Most likely no harm, but people keep saying Blizzard is a multi million dollar company. Yeah… They have, but they do have to keep the money rolling in some how and maybe subscription’s are not enough and as people hear with BFA launch, subscriptions are going down so they need to try and make up for it. So if they get people to come back and play like they did back in Wrath. They may consider not doing this anymore.

That is just my 2 cents. My guess is this is their way to get people back to playing the game with a small incentive to come back, but those who are currently playing are like. This is bad!

For the popcorn…

If you werent aware and it’s surprisingly not commonly known, Blizzard makes more than enough to cover paying devs /creating content just ALONE with a 15$ sub. They make well over enough with that alone.

Ironically even this statement, was said by the lead producer of Ashe’s of Creation. They know their worth and what their players are worth.

Maybe, but that doesn’t count for the cost of other stuff not mentioned. Paying for the buildings they have, other staff they have, servers, maintenance on those servers, cooling of those servers, construction on the buildings they have to expand if they need it. Like there are some extra stuff that may cost a lot that some people don’t think about.

They were a pack of three.

And let’s talk about games with a sub and player power behind it in the store, shall we?

Very disappointed to be honest. I was specifically waiting for them to announce the next mount incentive before I switched back to the six month sub. A transmog will not get me to switch.

Too early to determine that in my opinion. Once the games gets rolling is when we will see. I do hope it is successful though.

The more competition the better it is for everybody.

No I don’t get behind that notion that just because they’re a company that’s trying to make money that practices like this should be okay. In a game where there’s a sub fee and a cost to each expansion I don’t believe there should ever be an item shop. To me and it seems like many others, it just screams a cash grab.

There are some items on the shop that I would’ve grinded my heart out to get but since it’s tied to the shop, it doesn’t feel genuine to me.

People really dont think all the numbers are hand crunched before pre production phase is start when making a game. Everything the devs want you to see / hear is what they will show you.

I know this for a a fact because this is my literally up and coming profession.
If you were to take the current subs / participants from wow classic / retial that would far exceed the amount they would collectively have to spend to make the game.

There’s a science to making videogames and a lot of people don’t realize that.

So let’s say this. You would be ok with obtaining a transmog item that would take let’s say 6 months to work towards by doing quest and rep and etc instead of buying it on the shop if it was offered as a 6 month subscription?

I ask this because I also hear the other side of the fence of people saying. Blizzard! We don’t want to obtain items through a grind fest.

Yes. One of my favorite mounts comes from Krassarang Wilds I believe? From the Operation Shieldwall Rep. There were dailies to do and you got to see a side story of Anduin and Garrosh as you progressed further and further. Which the reward for putting in the time and effort felt amazing.

I am curious to know what other peoples thoughts on this. Post them up and get them sent up to the Dev team. Let your voice be heard.

Hah that’s the issue, having your voice being heard = getting forum banned or muted.

Which might happen to me, this is my first serious post so who knows.
