The patch 8.3.7 is here today which is framework for Shadowlands Pre-patch and SL, looking forward for it to be datamined for more info on the SL pre-patch. This also means that in 1-2 weeks the SL pre-patch may be on the PTR! This is the more exciting news because the SL-prepatch includes major spoilers and is TOP TOP SECRET they literally gave us 0 info about it, we know nearly everything about 9.0 but nearly nothing about the pre-patch and what story and scenarios it wil lbe except that scourge take over azeroth the way that legion took over in legion pre-patch but will it have a darkshore teld/ lorderon type scenario as well? in SL you start out that sylvanas kidnapped several major faction leaders holding them in her arms and flying them into the sky into the maw. Also the book reveals sylvanas sent nathanos to go sleep on the couch for his failure and we know we can find him at his home but all other info of the pre-patch and the special pre-patch mounts xmog rewards ect is all still a mystery.
Give me a modernized Wrath pre-patch Scourge Invasion or give me a forum ban Blizzard.

Even better, keep the bug in that was in for a few days where hunter pets stayed out when you turned into a zombie, and didn’t have the weird zombie damage scaling.

It was probably the single greatest event in WoW i’ve participated in. Org was complete madness, a handful of populated questing zones were complete madness, you could log in and spend the entire day just surviving the zombie apocalypse then participating when you finally got infected.
needs to be live in september since they stated its a monthlong and before SL and also even during the pandemic SL was going to be out before blizzcon in nov so oct which is Q4/fall dec is out of the question, its winter and before blizzcon so they can hint at 9.1 so cross out nov. Any site who claims nov is clickbait because the finiance reports never ever stated nov and those same clickbait sites also claims q1 q2 q4 only consists of 1-2 months, clearly they have no idea theres 12 months in a year and a quarter of a year is 3 months.
I loved that event. It was polarizing for people who just wanted to go about their day, but no other pre-expansion patch has even come close to the insanity and just over all pleasure of that madness.
I heard somewhere that there will be some Scourge something going on for Shadowlands since the helm was split in half. I doubt it’ll come close to that Wrath event, but maybe!

Nope. We just went into Beta a week ago. No pre-patch in 2 weeks.

I don’t know about 1-2 weeks but if Shadowlands is releasing mid/late Nov then Live pre-patch would around mid Oct so PTR pre-patch would need to be in Sept.

the pre-patch implements the quish and chromie time all the new leveling stuff and exiles reach ect, and hardly anyone in beta likes to group up to test al lthe non SL quests so that going to be more of a job for the ptr on the pre-patch (since thats accessible to everyone and not a select few) so thats definately not september start.

If Shadowlands is releasing mid Nov like most people are guessing then the the pre-patch would have to be on the PTR by Sept or early Oct at the latest.
If I can think of anything that’ll most likely happen with the pre-patch is that they will do something with it to make it time-gated.
