Seriously, every little patch is 8 hours now? This gets old losing a whole day game time every month.
You will be okay, as will everyone else… it’s not that deep, it’s a few extra hours.
Plenty of other games available to play, so overdramatic.

Worst part is, this was happening with wow and every other game 15+ years ago. it was the same complaints, never will understand how after so many years in basically all major games having a long maintenence every one in a while is the end of the world, when you also take into consideration we get alot of notice. it’s so bizarre.

I mean they are adding in a raid, and a dungeon, and opening up a new zone so that’s gotta take some effort. I mean they released this content 10 years ago so I’m not sure how re-releasing it would take that time, but I’m also not a game dev so I won’t pretend to know.

agreed. There has been maintenance every Tuesday for the last 21 years. People should just put a big old X through it on their calendar and find something else to do that day. Like work or go to the beach or go work from the beach, things like that.

They aren’t adding anything - just removing the time gate.
Anyways, these long non-patch day maintenance downtimes are most likely a bunch of behind the scenes infrastructure / database updates and changes ahead of the next expansion / fixing all the crap they keep breaking with their lack of QA.

I have hax that allow me to play during maintenance. But I don’t because I find the forum tears way more fun.
So since we know ahead of time, we are all going to be good children and make other plans, right?

I am not quibbling about the maintenance time, that’s fine. But isn’t December 2nd the last big patch? That’s 11.2.7 right? Or did I misread the calendar again.
