8.3 not until 2020

Didn’t legion launch with a massive bug that …
A. Did not allow certain people to receive legendary items
B. Increased the chances of receiving legendary items if you already had received one

Is it possible that you just don’t like WoW?

Stretch 8.2.5? What was there in 8.2.5 to stretch? We’re still playing 8.2 and earlier content.

Is it possible I like different things than you in this game ? For instance, you are playing an ugly character with bad transmog, I assume you like that.

considering how little content you’ve consumed, you should have no problem keeping yourself entertained.

…i guess you’re in a rush to sit around and complain how you’re bored, and there’s “nothing to do”.

Or perhaps this is my forum posting character. You do have more than one character at max level, right?

BWAHAHAHAhaaaaa!

Hasn’t it always been 7 weeks or 70 days?
One of those magic numbers that patches always release on.

Oh Blizzard, if you listen to anything please hear this. Your game doesn’t have the staying power to wait till 2020 for 8.3. Current content is already burned up and your holiday excuse or we want to allow people time to progress excuse is B.S.!

You just know that if you release 8.3 you got almost a year till Shadowlands is ready. So your goal is to artificially extend every bit of content you can and it sucks.

Awesome more time to hit 70+ Neck level :+1:

Dude, mid expac raid tiers are 5ish months consistently. First raid 4ish months.

This makes it 6 months to avoid the holidays.

1 month on a 2 year game.

Absolutely not a huge deal.

Go play something else. WoW isnt the only video game or pass time.

Just wait till you find out just how far away Shadowlands really is.

Its probably Novemberish, so 10ish months from Jan.

Thats faster than the gap in Wrath, MoP, or WoD.

If its Septemeber it’ll be right up there as a “short” gap.

Don’t see why the holidays should matter. Anybody else with a job had to usually work throught december minus Christmas. Plenty of people who make less than a Blizzard employee get to work right through the holidays. I remember when I was a rent a cop a long time ago working a nice 12 hour shift on Christmas 7pm to 7am.

Something with as many customers as wow shouldn’t be affected by the holidays.

If the delay is because they’re actually fixing or scrapping the Corruption system… I welcome it with open arms.

To determining when a major patch or expansion launch date is, you need to look at the financial quarters.
8.3 will drop sometime the first or second week of January(1st quarter). Which will take most people into the 2nd quarter.
The pre-patch for Shadowlands will drop sometime in July(3rd quarter). The expansion will launch sometime in October(4th quarter). This maximizes the amount of players that will be subscribed.

8.3 could have dropped in December, the raid would have still opened in January. Doesn’t really matter though because folks have the anniversary event to entertain them until then.

That’s just flat wrong. They’re not going to drop the prepatch and then launch the expansion three months later.

EQ2 is releasing expansion 16 in the middle of December.

Acting like they can’t put a patch out is hilarious.

They’ve already said that they’re not going to drop 8.3 until next year.

Yes, we all know this.

Misunderstood what you said.

However dropping the pre-patch in July or August would be a good idea. This will allow people to adjust to the new leveling system.
