8.3 before blizzcon?

teldrassil and lorderon should have been raids. THAT would have fixed this xpac since currently we only have 1 war raid in a xpac themed for war…

It’s not about being a secret. For all we know, 8.3 and it’s raid can already be ready.

The point is they don’t have an habit of releasing an entire new raid after such little time. Not even for the initial raids of the expansion (historically, the shortest).

8.2.5 is not the final patch. Stop spreading that nonsense. TEP has no characteristic whatsoever of final raid tiers.

The “True battle for Azeroth”, according to IN GAME TEXT, is against N’zoth.

This is not a war expansion.

yeah it is otherwise why not reveal BFA before 7.3 and before ppl knew about sargerus sword.

And that war raid really didn’t make sense.

I’m so glad they encrypted everything, I hope they keep doing this and make everything a mystery until it’s time to reveal it!

Imagine if there is no patch 8.3 and they just announce 9.0 at blizzcon , it would be too soon, no real test, full of bugs, classes would be a mess, oh wait, we already got that on BFA, must be something new then.

You have 3 out of 4 raids about Old Gods.

I rest my case.

other than the xpac reveal, hope absolutely everything in 9.0 is encrypted and just keep hiring NDA game testers, even if they “leak work of mouth” spoilers as long as theres no pictures or data models ect then it can be shrugged as a fake leak.

I mean, if there is an 8.3, it should be on the PTR within the next two weeks. And if they wanted to announce the next expansion at Blizzcon… it could spoil 8.3 content, but not necessarily. Blizz is obviously going for a big reveal at Blizzcon, and it is hard to imagine a big reveal just for a patch, so still hedging on an expansion announce and BfA being “done”.

“Dont you have phones”:vibration_mode: Wow Inmortal is coming…

BFA was destined to fail given the game systems in it.

Not sure a 6 month delay would’ve been enough time to course correct on it.

They saw legion as “well-received” and doubled down on retention mechanics.

Personally I hated Legion due to a lot of the retention mechanics it introduced (AP, paragon rep, etc.). I see BFA as just a continuation of that terrible design philosophy.

I genuinely hope they actually learned something this time, because they totally missed the mark on what parts of Legion folks actually enjoyed.

8.3 Won’t be on the PTR until after Blizzcon.

8.3 will be announced and showcased at Blizzcon, they will announce it on PTR at, or shortly after Blizzcon, it will go live around December or just after the Holidays.

We will get some teasers about 9.0 in the Spring, with the official reveal over Summer and then the next expansion featured at Blizzcon 2020. That is how they tend to do things.

I agree with most of that… but 9.0 should go live in Aug or Sept 2020.

I think we will see stuff be announced at blizzcon, we will see what the next expansion is and well as get details on the rest of this expansion’s content.

I hope sooner, I wont be around next summer  due to irl illness

This made me really sad.

I hope you pick yourself up. Didn’t mean to be a jerk to you.

yeah the shadowlands leak gave me so much joy at the part saying “transition between 8.3 and shadowlands is the fastest in wow history” to think I can actually Play it before my time. IF not I can still go to blizzcon and try the demo there.

They’re gonna stretch this out as much as possible.

I’m not even remotely optimistic. I’ll log in to raid prep, get my limited-time mount and be on my way.
