8.2 Unbound Freedom Buff

From Wowhead:
Unbound Freedom - Blessing of Freedom increases movement speed by 30%, and you gain Blessing of Freedom when cast on a friendly target.
Unbound Freedom also causes any Blessing of Freedom applied to yourself to be undispellable.

It’s something, at least. I’ll take it.

Yes mages, yes shamans, we are coming for you…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said that should have been part of Unbound Freedom. In its current form, it’s a waste of a talent. In the new form, it will probably be mandatory.:smile::smile:

edit: I guess I won’t be using my cancelaura freedom macro vs mages frost nova anymore. Happy days!

Ignore this post, im dumb, I somehow missed the line in the wowhead tool tip that says it still gives the movement speed.

its still gonna give it, in addition to its new effects which is amazing. A little help but needed.

It should’ve been ret only because I feel like it might be too strong for Hpal and they end up removing it.

whoops my bad, somehow skipped that line when I was reading the changes on wowhead.

It’s Ret and Prot only. The undispellable bit appears to apply only to yourself, not teammates. Loving this news!

according to wowhead it was removed from ret and prot and put into the general category, implying that holy should be able to use it.

maybe I’m reading this wrong, but I’d assume general means it’s available to all 3 specs.

We’re looking at the same info. The tooltip states Requires Paladin (Protection, Retribution)

its good thats it’s only prot and ret then

Im pretty happy with this buff, I mean there are other retribution PvP talents that are lacking, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Will make it easier to throw down with mages

I’d have preferred getting Emancipate back, but this is good too I suppose… Now, if only they had done this when we first complained about our mobility, instead of only after 3 years of nonstop complaints…

I mean, better late than never, I guess, but holy crap… At least this means that next time we get a revamp they will hopefully do away with the whole “no mobility” concept entirely.

Edit; It’s worth noting that it says “any Blessing of Freedom applied to yourself to be undispellable.”, which, if they are true to the wording of that, means that any BoF you get from any other Paladin while you have this talent will also be undispellable.

Might be enough to resub

You and me both, but I’ll take this.

We can pray.

I kinda like it because you will always use freedom on someone else to get the full potential of the talent and never on yourself, so you may use it on your healer or 2nd dps partner whenever you need to freedom. Now if only we had 2 charges or lesser cooldown and mobility might be good enough

Wow, that sounds too good to be true.
I am cautiously optimistic, because I wouldn’t be surprised if they changed it again next build because “too stronk against mages”.
Also: does anyone know if “undispellable” really means “unstealable”? Sounds more like a protection against offensive dispels but not against spellsteal to me.

Undispellable=unstealable.

When you can purge something, mages can steal it

Great! Thanks for the info.
