Bring the game back with this patch, Blizzard.
I have faith in you. But I’m losing interest in WoW. As are so many players.
I’m one of those (I’ll be back next Xpac) type guys.
This next patch will make or break the rest of the Xpac for me.

New raid, new mega dungeon, targetable and upgradeable gear, flight, neck powers, world PvP objectives, mount gear, new zones… to name a few. I’m guessing there’s something in there you’ll like.

If you arent interested in it now, you wont be in 8.2 either. They arent revolutionizing the game. Its going to be the biggest patch to date, but its still going to be wow.
If you cant find interest in a game this size now, I dont know what would change.
Best thing you can do is take a break and hope the spark gets lit again in the future.
No matter what this future holds, wow is still going to be played the same relative to where we are now.

Understood.
I find myself still playing WoW… But age old content. Grinding out loremaster and playing legion (again) rather than playing new content, it’s an issue. If there’s 1 player feeling like this then there’s bound to be more. Much more in this circumstance.

Im sure. The same advice i would give to them as well though.
If you are ever disliking something in wow its pertinent to take mental inventory.
Most of the time i realize its either never going to be for me, or im just burned out.
There is very little that can change in a patch like this. Usually the only thing that swings my interests is class design, and that is happening with two of my favorite tanks, but i will still be playing them in the same fashion and progression that i was today.
I just want people to have realistic expectations, is all. 8.2 is huge but not remaking the game or something. Dont put that kind of expectation on it.

There’s some interesting content coming in 8.2, but Blizz made it clear early on that we shouldn’t expect class reworks. If that’s what you’re holding out for, prepare to be disappointed.
Whether or not 8.2 will carry BfA to the next patch is up in the air.

8.2 is nothing more then a ap neck grind the area is smaller then the broken shore in legion…lol

Like others said before, if you’re extremely disappointed with the game now, perhaps take the break and check with 9.0 to see if things will be more of your liking.
8.2 is just a band-aid (and a big one). While it will attempt to mend some annoyances, the game systems will remain, the only possibility of change, as usual, comes with new xpacs.

Question: Is AP still a “thing” in 8.2 or do we now grind essences for neck upgrades?
If it’s now a double-grind, I think my mind can handle it. I’m already down to playing 4 toons from 8 in Legion just because I’m not enjoying the “content” this expansion. If I now have two grinds, I may just go to 2 toons and focus on them and HOPE I can stay entertained enough to stick out this terrible expansion.
if the next expac is just as bad with m+ and islands it wont make it.
Blizz does seem to enjoy recycling things players don’t like and scrapping favorites… I can see this happening.

I just hope the next expansion has an actual story, that the dungeons are fun to do (I hate all but 2 of the BfA dungeons), and that the rewards are there for time played instead of the grinding slot machine meant to keep us logging in for the sake of logging in.

If an expansion isn’t fun, just wait until next expansion. BFA’s patches don’t change the BFA game fundamentals.
I wish I enjoyed class like you folk. I honestly think it sucks, I thought it sucked back in the day and I think it sucks now.
I would much rather play Ultima Online or Everquest if I wanted that slow old feel. Im legit jealous you guys love it because it would be something for me to look forward too
yea i think they have a make money formula to make money.
launch next expansiom,after 3 months launch the sub for 6 months mount.then release a store mount and then toys in the store to support esprorts and take 75% on it.also allied race changes.
they make more money with the services and store then would subs.
blizzards lazy will have the same rng and something else to grind like neck maybe a ring next time…lol.

You farm essence in 8.2, and farm AP to place/use the essences (they go above 50 in 8.2), while farming the newest Azerite gear.
