I made those videos over a month ago. I couldn’t care less how many views I get. Honestly. I don’t want to be a fulltime youtuber/streamer. I am a Registered Nurse IRL. I love my job. I agree, I love WoW a lot. I don’t want it to die and I really don’t see it dying any time soon, but some things are nevertheless a bad sign that does make me wonder a bit. For instance Pathfinder, regardless of whether one is pro or con, seems almost like a desperation move to keep people subbed. Same thing for allied races. Needing to grind for new races when before newer toon selections were just added with expacs again seems like a move made by folks worried about declining numbers.

OP, I watched your vid. and I disagree with your conclusion, but not the concept.

What’s missing from BFA that Legion had is “Effort-based” progression. Legion had too much RNG, BFA has nothing but too much RNG.

Your video talked mostly about playing slow and experiencing the content. I’d argue that experiencing that content is feeling a sense of purpose. You can feel a sense of purpose without having to play slowly through old content. You just need that urgency, that justification, that reasoning.

Right now… BFA has nothing that drives you to play.

Well there are 4 videos, so I’m not sure which one you watched. I make different points in each. Being immersed in the world is important. It is something that was very present in WoW up until Cataclysm when you could just bypass and portal to everything. It broke the RPG world element. If you’re having to rush through content in order to enjoy it, that content probably isn’t very good. Instead of making it faster, they should make it better. That was my point. Important to say I was comparing it to Classic, not Legion as well.

When you look at the quarterly report, they actually mention time played so keeping us occupied in game is big to them. They keep looking for ways to time gate us. I’ve said it before, create interesting content, or fun things to do they won’t need to time gate us.

The dislike ratio came up, and one chirped up saying, disliked it because Lore (Josh Allen) narrated it. Few others didn’t believe it was him at first, but when they did, they went back to dislike it, calling him what he called us.

I don’t think there is any coming back for him, he’s burned that bridge in a very anti-consumer way. While I don’t think that’s the main reason for the dislike ratio, I just watched 6/6 people dislike it because of him, regardless of what they thought of the patch.
