How long before Devs start getting axed? How long before they start listening to their community? While Likes and Dislikes aren’t a scientific metric, they are fairly accurate of community outrage with the direction the game is headed. I’m not spouting doom-and-gloom, what I’m saying is this is something you should all be aware of and take seriously.

EDITED: Since reading is SUPER hard for some people in this thread, I’ll post my videos where I am completely constructive about things they can change to make the game better. I want this game to do well. I run a guild in it. I make videos for it. I’ve played it since 2005. Few things pain me more than to see the game be in the state that it is.

2nd EDIT: Az from Heelvsbabyface is now talking about it as well.

Youtube likes are always a good and accurate indicator of the quality of content.

I wouldn’t trust youtube voting to be an accurate gauge of where the game is or isn’t going. Could be right, could be wrong - could be wonky results.

This should be fun

Look at previous patch Survival Guide videos Like to Dislike ratio. You may be surprised.

On one hand, it could just be trolls using voting bots to down vote something for the heck of it.

On the other, it could represent a community that’s just not buying Blizzard’s company line anymore.

Well if you have been testing, you probably have already done most of the content. It’s easy to see it’s just more of the same and for a lot of people, that just isn’t going to cut it.

Honestly, this is kind of starting to feel like a wave among gamers being sick and tired of the garbage coming out of developers lately. I think it started around Battlefront 2 and it is still moving. Blizzard has been in it’s own bubble for years now and that wave hit its shores at Blizzcon this year with Diablo Immortal. People are sick of it man, and I can see why. People want quality products and quality content, not this poorly thrown together stuff that seems to only be there to mask the microtransactions or in WoWs case, MAUs.

(looks in patch notes) Nope nothing about only a selfie camera and twitter integration. Already better than WoD.

They are a fairly good indicator for how excited the community is for the content, absolutely

5.9k upvotes. 252 downvotes.

5.7k upvotes. 222 downvotes.

4.2k upvotes. 316 downvotes.

LOL. WoD 6.2 patch --> 3.4k upvotes. 444 downvotes.

Selfie patch even doing better. 4.8k upvotes. 3.4k downvotes.

Yeah, considering the Survival Video just came out TODAY, I’d say its a pretty good indicator of the state of the game and where the community is with it. Just read the comments below the video.

Dude its youtube. I wouldn’t consider it useful for rating content at all when it comes to likes and dislikes.

They’re a good indicator of how people feel about content, which is at least as important.

You can just use bots, yeah wow what a good indicator.

At least my class was fun when I had a selfie camera

8.1 isn’t adding in a selfie camera, which already makes it better than wod

So people would bot THIS video, but not all the other Survival Guide videos? That makes sense. Totally.

Oh, btw, it’s now at 1.8 likes to 2.5k dislikes.

I’m not arguing its scientific by any stretch, but its a damm good indicator of passion related to the state of the game, which is pretty damm important.

I didn’t say ALL of them were bots I just said it’s ridiculously easy to push the likes and dislikes to your favor

You’re looking at it the wrong way, just like a lot of people do. While I can agree, the like/dislike counter might not be indicative of a piece of contents worth, it can be seen as a way of measuring the animosity among the community. When a game is doing fairly well, even with plenty of complaints, videos don’t get bombed with dislikes, it just doesn’t happen. 8.1 could be fantastic in the end but the community itself is just not feeling it.

Or it could be a bunch of people that don’t even play wow but instead other games and they’re possibly dislike bombing it for luls.

Not saying that is all that is happening. I just know it could very well be a thing.

That is my entire point. Perception is reality. If the community is perceiving it this negatively, it doesn’t look good for the future of BFA. The Devs need to change course drastically, or the game is in for some very hard times.
