8.1 Shadowcleave Strengths/weaknesses

I’ve got some friends that wanna push shadow cleave .
Demo/UnH/rSham…
.

How good is it stacking up against turbo, RMD RMP, Smoke bomb etc.

What kinda tier do you guys see it ?

S
A
B
C
D
F

?

Seeing as Demo isn’t getting the new Demon Armor, you friend might be better off playing Aff/Destro which is more traditional for Shadowcleave comps. My best guess is that it will return to S-A tier again though given the pressure the comp puts out with Hpal/Rsham healers in the past. Could very well be a solid S tier comp with Holy Priest as wel.

Why would demonology need it ? We have soul link

Congo Tier at best.

Yeah, but Demo is still squishy against double melee. And you lost a lot of survivability when they made Fel Lord garbage in BFA compared to how it was in Legion

Pretty sure shadowcleaves strength will be the dk. Weakness, I’d have to say, would be the lock…

The fel Lord is just there for stuns. Also curse of weakness is going to reduce attack power instead of physical damage dealt to make it more viable. Remember, paladins death knights and rougues have magic damage b that is affected by their attack power, reduce that and you can win

So in other words see demonology warlock stands a chance with curse of weakness rework against classes that put out magic damage through their attack power.

If anything they’re optimal over a affliction warlock in dampening games

The new tyrant trait with the demonic consumption buff is gonna make your tyrant hit very hard. You can have your dk put up necros during tyrant, I think demo scleave is gonna be very underrated.

Seems like the healer and DK would be better off playing with any other caster
