Hello, Just a quick question thread here.
For 8.1, I just completed the small dark ranger questline in redridge and now Zekhan appeared for the quest “Grim tidings”. So my question is do I ignore the troll and skip that quest if I am trying to follow with slyvanas?
There is an option below the quest that says: “I will not betray my Warchief, troll.” You click that, and then confirm, and then you return to report to Sylvanas.

Whichever side you choose, I’d suggest trying the Saurfang side on at least one alt. It really is cool. While I’m definitely “team Saurfang”, my undead priest will forever be loyal to Sylvanas. It’s cool to see it all.

Im curious what the “consequences” will be for this.
You are not the only one to be confused by this implementation. The confirmation popup only appears if you choose Sylvanas. There is no warning for accepting the next quest in the chain. Why they chose to put this important decision at a precursor quest without presenting both options in a balanced way I do not understand. It seems there are quite a number of players, myself included, that did not realize there was even a “choice” presented. The logical place for this choice would have been at the showdown between Saurfang and Lyana, which was my expectation and what the story appeared to be headed towards. It also bears mentioning that if you use a quest enhancement addon like Immersion, you will likely not even be presented with the dialog option.
