the trade button/ tab will not go away from my general tab, i have clicked on it but it does not give me option to move it. it is already in its own tab. support said reset interface? how do I do that? and will it fix problem…its only one of my toons that this happens too.

If you follow the instructions, this is actually reversible if it doesn’t help (which sometimes it doesn’t). Your prior UI settings are still available as the “CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld” folders. Delete the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders and rename the “Old” folders to their prior names by removing the “Old” part of the directory names.

Good grief, type backslash reload ui in to the chat window and hit enter. If that doesnt work click the gear wheel next to the play button on the launcher page and try a " scan and repair" These are the obvious things i know how to do when my ui is messed up.

You know , I might be incorrect. I wonder if we are really talking about the Edit Mode ui on the logout menu? If stuff seems out of position, you can go to Edit Mode and click on the arrow on the drop down menu and select " classic" , then click on the red x in the top right corner of that box.
I mean i could be wrong about this , but it is a helpful tip anyway if you liked the classic wow ui
Are you referring to chat windows? If so, what ever number the Trade Channel is coming up as in your General Tab, type /leave (channel #). For me it would be:
/leave 2
There is/was a bug with channels after the recent patch and the only real way to permanently close it was to use the /leave command. I think it mostly affected people that had separated their channels to different tabs.
