These are the presale Boost we are talking about. The Enhanced Boost included with the xpax. the 60$ boost does not come with rep
I am aware. I am making the argument that given the price, maybe they all should be enhanced Boosts.
Can confirm, I also can’t buy anything from Renown 21 on my enhanced boosted character despite having earned Renown 21 the day I boosted him.
Or boosts should be removed because they were added back when getting into WoD was going to require you to suffer Cata, TBC, Wrath, later Cata, then MoP questing just to start seeing the new stuff if you rerolled. You’d use RAF and full xp bonuses and get excited when you could pull off two levels in a dungeon run that took half an hour. Now people just follow my twink while I solo Ramparts in 4 minutes and get the same amount of XP without RAF.
They made sense when leveling to 90 itself would take most players trying to be efficient a couple of weeks.
Now they really don’t have a place in the game except for the extremely lazy among us because you can do 1-70 in no joke an evening. I resubbed, rerolled a druid, leveled her to cap in one night of binging on my days off. Cleared Heroic of the raid, I think Abberus by her 3rd week as a character in a pug. Last boss was a dude I vaguely remembered from my barely awake questing.
Boosts really are outdated, especially since if you use gold to buy tokens to boost, most boosters will level 3-4 characters in the same amount of gold last I was playing just prior to the Emerald Dream stuff.
Also further note, when they were introduced with WoD, they announced them with saying you’d only get one per account because of how controversial a boost was at the time… This was walked back within I kid you not, four weeks because players said “Well I’ll just buy WoD for every account on my battle net!” Naturally they saw the dollar signs, Kotick saw another yacht, then boosting just was free to do, no limitations for 60 dollars… Something players after the announcement said would happen and Blizzard said “Nope! We are sticking to our guns because we understand how this looks!”
They also said the boosts wouldn’t be active until WoD. I think anybody who did raid finder in SoO after the boost can tell you how that turned out. Queues were super fast, everybody was making tanks and healers… group completion however was a much different story given most of these fresh rerolls had no idea how to tank or heal and just assumed the others would do it for them… except the others were the same people assuming the same thing.
Already too late by about 8ish years mate. Better learn to deal with it. This is players expectation now.

No. It wont… 4 major factions at 20 + Niff at 12. Thats it. Its a catchup for those who didnt play much this xpax

Not that I am aware of? I didnt have professions selected when I boosted
Correct me if I am wrong, however, I was under the impression that your main would also recieve Renown 20 if he had not achieved it. Confirm? If true, I my main character did not receive such help.
Still doesn’t work at all for me. I can’t purchase any renown items in any of the shops, on any character, not just the boosted one.
Thats working as intended. The majority items only the boosted character (with the renown) can buy. Thats not what the bug was. The bug was the boosted character couldnt buy. Now they can up to renown 20 but not post 20 that still needs to be fixed

So I can continue my renown grind and buy things post renown 20? Just didn’t want to waste my time. Also, any idea what the quickest way is to farm 20-26?
